Wood Scales

I'v been looking at the wooden scales thread in the Spyderco Picture forum and it sparked an interest. I don't have the skills to do something like that myself so I started looking into buying some custom scales. Needless to say thats the reason for this thread, With no luck I have decided perhaps o...

Can you remember the source of this information? You have sparked my interest.

Forgive my ignorance. This is a genuine question and I am not trying to be sarcastic. I understand the value of a knife when diving/fishing and even canoeing, but why do you need a knife for swimming? I am a firm believer in having a knife on you whenever possible. Even when you think you may not n...

Actually I have seen this knife before. Last time was on that "cutlery corner" show on late at night that sells cheap knives. Not worth much at all.

To be completely honest I found that the SmallFly is a bit cumbersome for EDC. The knife itself has some great features like the spring loaded locking bar and the shape of the blade (although I don't like the topside swedge for flipping). I have to say though that I am just not partial to balisong a...

If you haven't picked one out yet, I'd recommend the Dragonfly Salt SE. It cuts like a beast and weighs almost nothing. Actually I just ordered the Spyderco Salt I Plain Edge. I really was hoping to get a salt model with a blade length of about 3 inches and FFG but the only FFG for the series is th...

Thank you everybody for the worm welcome and the quick reply. I feel confident now that I will have long use out of the salt series without an issue of rust. Also thanks for letting me know that there are no bushings in these knives. Looks like my next swimming and beaching trip will be accompanied ...

Spyderco Salt Question

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums and wanted to ask a question regarding the Salt line. I live in The United States (Michigan) and am currently in the market for a swimming knife. I have been thinking of getting a Spyderco salt to take with me to the beach. The only problem is I am wondering if after ...

Hey everybody, I'm new to the forums. Anyways, I just wanted to let you guys know that they currently have the Yojimbo 2 in stock over at BladeHQ. I have been looking for this knife for some time now and seen this thread so I figured I'd let you guys know where you can find um. I have no idea how ma...
