"I like the Manix2 but wish it had drilled liners and a flat grind. Maybe a good steel too." "The Delica is nice but I wish it had a strong lock. Can Spyderco slap a compression lock on it?" Now the drilled liner requests are understandable. If you can lighten a knife without compromisin...

Ah yes, in the end, it really is all about the knives. If you're too lazy to type properly, slap a pic or two of your knives up and no one will notice. ;)

Congrats on the knife, always great to have those home-run purchases. It's like the opposite of buyers remorse: every time you look at it you're glad you pulled the trigger.

I get that those things might not be 100% accurate, but there is a world of difference between the occasional, accidental typo and something that is written in internet short-hand "text speak". Seconded. Also, I think there's clearly context to consider. A single errant thread isn't going to draw m...

I second the XL. I also am not in love with the regular Manix but something about the XL "grabs me" as you say. It'd be my choice for back-up duty (to a FB) in the woods.

Cliff these are incredibly important concepts to understand, thanks for taking the time to explain. I have an engineering background, and one of the hardest things for people to wrap their heads around were tolerances and stack-ups like you gave examples of. They couldn't understand that I spent mos...

I know some people will hate me for saying this, but the homage gotta stop at some point, either after a certain time or after it attains certain commonality. How many of you still attach Alexander Bell's name to your phone? I'm not sure this example is the best one, since the phone has far surpass...

I just meant that the Yo2 release went unusually poorly. Demand was far far higher than anticipated, and people have the right to feel disappointed when their pre-orders go unfilled for months and months, especially if they paid in full. Although I'm sure Spyderco doesn't dictate how their vendors h...

Thanks for the review! Too small, heavy, and expensive for me ( I have seen $195 pre orders). More my speed is the titanium Chapparal. Same price range, but more blade, lighter and has that really unique titanium handle! Can't wait for the ChapTi! Techno isn't my thing either, but I can see why som...

Ok so the Yo2 is a special case, it was delayed much longer than normal and we can all sympathize. I'd venture to guess that you could find a new digicam PM2 pretty easily, it just wouldn't be the lowest possible price. You know the funny thing? If the price on these two were higher, the demand woul...

Can anyone comment on the purpose of the "double hump" on the top of the blade? It looks a lot different than the jimping we normally see, so it doesn't seem to serve that purpose. Just asking because I'm interested.
