Don't feel strongly either way, but I think that it can be useful to find the lockbar without looking. I'm glad it's there on my D4 and R, but glad it's not on the chaparral (would look funny with the trapezoidal lock cut out).

I would imagine that it's in the range of the Southard. It's not a collaboration, but that scale material probably adds some cost. Just speculation though...

Also interested in the integral comp lock. I missed out on the ATR but always thought it was a cool design despite the quirky looks.

Any word on whether this is a sprint or limited production? Doesn't say in the listing.

Thanks for the give-away! My first spyderco was a Delica4 in grey. Although my collection has grown, the D4 still gets a ton of pocket-time. The biggest surprise along the way is the great irony of spyderco knives: any single knife would probably fill 95% of your cutting needs, but it sparks the des...

We just had a thread entitled: "Please use a descriptive title when starting a new thread..." Do we now need one entitled: "Please make sure your thread contains information?"

Couldn't agree more. I actually feel like I stole my Manix XL for under $100.

I coach strength and conditioning, and here's my advice (I don't own a techno): Find your easiest opening spyderco, probably an older linerlock. Whenever you have a free hand do sets of 10 openings per hand, resting 30 seconds between sets for 5-10 sets. After a few days, find your next easiest open...

I love the feel of the peel ply G-10 on the Golden, CO models, the stuff used on my Manix XL is flawless. I also love the feel of the bi-directional FRN, so I'm happy with many of the Spyderco handle offerings. I think if you're gonna do a smooth handle material it should have some visual interest l...

Paper is for cutting.

Why didn't you hand-write your complaint to Spyderco on embossed letterhead? Your digital complaint is delicious irony.

Manix XL sprint is a lock, as is the forum knife, but not sure if those two will be the first this year.

Mostly on my person and on my desk and on my dresser. I'm looking into better options though as the collection grows, just a few I'm considering so far: eight drawer chest, two drawer chest.

I'm interested in other ideas as well, but these seemed cost effective.

I can not endorse the XL enough, it is my favorite spyderco design thus far, although I am much less experienced than many when it comes to their full line of knives. And yes, both.

Anyone else love their "R" Nishijin sprint?

Been collecting Spydercos for about a year now, all of which was due to falling in love with my FRN Delica 4. Early on, I ordered an "R" Nishijin sprint run because I thought the handle material was too cool to resist, but when I got it I was a little underwhelmed. The fit and finish was just OK, an...
