Re: Endela-i want one

Addendum! 1: My claims of superiority were tongue in cheek. Of course these things are opinion. 2: It remains a travesty that the R us so unknown, despite my best efforts. It is one of the rare spydies that has had several iterations but has never been regular production! 3: I also don’t advocate fo...

Re: Endela-i want one

Strong dislike! 1: I never feel like I need more than the Delica, it carries great and fits my hand just fine 2: The R is my favorite non Delica, and it would be far more accurate to call it the Endela, since it is basically a Delica shaped blade with an endura length. This frankenknife abomination ...

Re: Massdrop SG2 Delica...arrived!!

I think you'd probably have trouble matching the gold exactly, but you might be able to find some TiCN coated screws with a matching tint. I'm interested enough to check it out, actually.

Edit: no dice, wasn't able to find any commonly available TiCN coated screws that would work.

Re: What is the best retailer to pre-order from?

I have only had issues with knifecenter, who seem to allow an unlimited number of preorders even though they know they won't be able to fulfill them all. No issues with others, although I haven't done many. In general I've had great experiences with Knife Works, so I'd trust them to do a preorder fo...

Re: The Drunken: Amazing Knife, Ruined by its Pocket Clip.

@tvenuto Just to clarify, I didn't call any specific people "cry babies", I didn't quote anybody or named any names That's referring to a general trend... We already see the results of Reveal policy due to some people crying about "where's my knife, where's my knife, where's my knife, where's my kn...

Re: Massdrop SG2 Delica shipped??!?

Well with the money spent nigh on a year ago (and no communication for many months), it really does feel like you were randomly delivered a free knife. I'm sure you'll see them up there, but maybe not at the rate we normally see.

Re: The Drunken: Amazing Knife, Ruined by its Pocket Clip.

@Gsg9 Impatience =/= feedback. Calling people "cry babies" for experiencing an issue and relating it to spyderco is unhelpful. It turns out that different people have different experiences. Acknowledging that everyone's experience or feelings are not like yours is the first step to empathy, which, i...

I think that all the Fallknivens in this steel are laminated as well.
Probably availability, then.

And smiling once again, since the March Spyderco Byte says there will also be a version of these with black G-10 handles and BD1N blades. :)
As am I! Might finally be time to pick up a Nakiri pattern knife.

Re: Caribbean different scales

LFP = Phone + Keys (sometimes) RFP = Knife (Delica) + Wallet LBP = Nothing RBP = Nothing It's also not difficult to wear a tutu, but I'm not going to do it because I don't feel like doing it. I'd rather wear expensive-a$$ jeans, well, because I feel like that too. Finding a spyderco design that work...

Re: The Drunken: Amazing Knife, Ruined by its Pocket Clip.

Lots of great points here. Like Abbazaba, I have long wondered why the lock cutouts do not always go on the inside. Seems to solve the clip issue and it is more ergonomic. Like EvilD, I wish collaborations just came with Spyderco clips. I have been underwhelmed with multiple clips on collaborations...

I would also encourage using PP goods and services. First, you get the protection. Second, I like to use things how they were intended, and it seems like the right thing to do if I'm selling something.

Re: Caribbean different scales

I'm always surprised at people having issues with pocket space. What else are you folks carrying in your knife pocket? I rarely carry anything else in that picket so my knife can have as much room as it needs, especially if it means the knife will in turn be more comfortable in my hand when I'm usi...

Re: Caribbean different scales

I carry RFP with jeans or khakis. I also carry my wallet in that pocket. I am also a bit picky about how a knife carries and draws because in my experience it spends most of its life in the pocket. @LB93 sorry for the assumption, just know that I respect you as a fellow knife Knut regardless of gend...

Re: Caribbean different scales

i’ve said a lot about the looks of this knife, but another issue (for me) is the width of the handle at the butt end. one of the things i love so much about the manix is that it gives a full grip, but tapers at the end, which makes for a really nice and unobtrusive entryway into the pocket when the...
