Re: Which Dragonfly Should I Get?

HaHa - love this thread. 8 replies so far, 8 different answers :p I would have voted k390 then wharnie - hap40 if you can get it. Corrosion resistance doesn't seem to be the main issue for you, since you used the zdp-189 without issue. But - what I would really recommend is something like mine... wh...

Re: Watu...AKA Lil Chokwe

Still waiting on mine. It was supposed to have been here yesterday... but USPS update shows it hasn't even left the distribution center. Can't wait to get this one. Surprisingly - they are still available at retailers. The Kapara, Smock and Ikuchi all sold out quickly as I recall.

Re: Watu...AKA Lil Chokwe

Yes, it will leave the blade a bit open if you fight to leave your finger on the tab. But my experience has been similar to the shaman. The bump of the choil hits my finger, but pushes it off at just the right time so that it just closes. I have been constantly fidgeting with this since yesterday m...

Re: Watu...AKA Lil Chokwe

Only word of cation I can think to share is for those folks that are passionately against styles where the finger choil extends into the comp lock cutout during closing, the Watu may not be your best choice. Could someone post a picture of the Watu closed (focused on the comp lock cut-out)? I can o...

Re: Watu...AKA Lil Chokwe

Sal, y’all have really outdone yourselves this time! This knife is near perfect with the thin 20cv blade, comp lock/detent, great looking CF laminate, very nice ergos and perfect deep pocket wire clip placement. I see many sprints and exclusives in its future! picture here Funny thing - I was at wo...

One inbound as well. Been waiting on this one for sure.
Not sure why my spydie app never alerted me. It makes me appreciate this group even more. I think :D

Re: Spyderco Siren Release Date?

Thanks for the background.
I think this means we need a Siren Jr and a baby Siren?
I really love the design - and in all seriousness, do hope for a Siren Jr.

Re: I Don't Get The "Spydie-Flick."

I use the spydie-flick just when I reassemble and tune my knives. If I can spydieflick it - then the action is loose enough (assuming there is no play). I can't spydieflick consistently for the life of me.

Re: Introduction, Hi!

Welcome.
If you need to stay under 3 inch, and you like the ergos on the pm2 - consider the Para3. Especially considering you can find it in rex45 right now.

Re: REX45 Para 3 Lightweight

Not sure how many people are sheltering-at-home? This may mean more people online ready to grab one as soon as it drops?
These seem to be going a bit faster than normal, for sure.

Re: Para 3 Lightweight in Maxamet?

Yes please!
I would buy another, just for the grey frn. Maxamet is a lot of fun - and using it in the lightweight platform would make it a bit less expensive.

Re: REX45 Para 3 Lightweight

So the rex45s are trickling in... :D I couldn't leave mine well enough alone. Had it for all of 10 minutes... Used rit dye, since I don't really like orange. I cross-posted this pic on the rit-dye thread if you want more details. https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=80112&p=1408806#p140880...

Re: Post up your Rit dye projects..

Thought I would post this up - just got a burnt orange Para 3. The orange came darker than expected, but still not something I really liked. I used ritdye synthetic sapphire blue - less than 10 minutes total. I am by no means a rit dye expert (only fourth knife) - but as expected, the base color is ...

Re: Why can't we have an upgraded UKPK?

I wholeheartedly agree with all the requests in this thread - especially wharncliffe and k390!
The UKPK is a great platform to mod - scales wise. That's why I would vote for different blade shapes and steels rather than just scales materials.
