I have been wanting to try Moly Resin to protect the steel on my Cruware mule (prevent long term corrosion), but I was a little worried about the 300F curing time for Moly Resin (same for Cerakote) as 300F is awfully close to the temperature for tempering many steels. However, I found that Cruware's...

Thank you Phil - great to hear the background information, and your thoughts on your design.

I got mine a couple of days ago, and mine started doing kitchen duty already :)

The CF M390 Millie is my current EDC. It has pushed all the other blades out of my pockets and I am a huge Para2 fan. There's just something about the feel of the CF M390 that wont let me put it down. Hope you enjoy yours as much or more. +1 Exactly what happened to me. Started with a grey PM2 for ...

I like my Grey PM2, and it is a great combination of blade, ergonomics, light weight, etc., but to be honest, following advice from many here I broke down and finally tried the Military (mine is the M390 CF) and I have to say that I like the Milie even better than the PM2. Here in Texas the 4" blade...

I am EDCing a CF M390 Milie now, but for the time I EDC'ed my Royal Purple PM2, I have to say that although sharpening took longer, the CTS-20CP steel remained sharp far longer than the average steels - to me it is definitely a premium steel, and worth the higher price/premium.

Military vs. ZT 0560 ...

Yesterday I got my new ZT 0560 and I wanted to share my thoughs on it vs. my EDC, the Military CF M390. As you can see, they are both rather "large" knives - that grid is 1/2" per square, by the way, and sorry it is a little dirty, that is my machining workbench: http://m3coupe.com/knives/Spyderco/M...

I have been using nano-oil as well for a couple of years now, simply excellent. Not only it works awesome on my folders, but also on small fans and motors when they get noisy (a drop or two, and they are nice and quiet again!).

I have also heard it doesn't take a good edge We must get our information from very different sources - it is a SOLID category 1 blade steel, compared to S90V and M390 on Ankerson tests: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/793481-Ranking-of-Steels-in-Categories-based-on-Edge-Retention-...

Yes, that is a great price. I have not seen them often (new) for under $200.
