Following the advice of several in here, I tried the CF M390 "regular" Millie and learned/got used to using it with my left hand. In fact the same general grip works as well for the PM2, so I ended up not needing a "lefty" version after all.

Here in TX, except for when I go to work in the office, I always have this military with me: http://m3coupe.com/knives/Spyderco/Military/DSCF8337.JPG In the office, I most often have this "smaller" one instead, as it looks more "civilized" for office folks: http://m3coupe.com/knives/Spyderco/CTS-20C...

The edge looks like it was never used - M390 is good stuff for sure :)

I cleaned the knife when I got home earlier today, and tonight we had dinner at a local German Brewery, and got to use the Military again:

Always carry a knife ......

At the Cub Scouts event today, Arbor day. Kids are helping plant new trees at a local park, and the grounds crew was trying to use a portable/battery saw to cut the tough plastic. Problem was that it was like 45F - no go. One of the parents got his pocket knife and cut one of the bases, so I moved t...

I think it is sad that such a great knife, with such a good steel and Heat Treatment such as the Southfork is not selling quicker. Folks don't know what they are missing .....

Here in Texas as well. And I do the "same" - my main EDC is the CF M390 millie, but I carry a ZDP-189 DragonFly 2 as my "small" and less intimidating knife ;)

If not worried about using my knife I might carry a CTS-20CP PM2 as my "small" blade :)

The Military, specially one with the CF scales, simply disappears in your pocket - you simply forget its there .......... until you need it ;)

I used to EDC a CTS-20CP PM2, but once I tried the M390 CF Millitary, I never looked back.

After using the Military for a good bit of time now, I dont think we need a Military2. +1 I love my M390 CF Military. It is perfect as it is today. No need to change lock, or anything else. I much rather have Spyderco re-lease the current style Military on S90V with CF handles. Given the excellent ...

Great review - thanks for taking the time to do this and share it with us :)

I am not lucky enough to have an S90V Milie, but I do have the M390 Milie as my EDC and it has been excellent.

I am really liking mine in the kitchen - the only thing I wish for (kitchen duty) would have been a thinner blade. It is sharp, it cut well, and works well in the kitchen, but it is a tad too thick to really shine in that role. Definitely a keeper, and in fact I need to save some money as I would li...

The titanium was nice, but not as light as the G10. One of the reasons I love the Para 2 is because of the lightness. I think the titanium would raise the weight too much. +1 This pretty much sums up my preference as well. I like the para 2, and now the M390 Milie with CF scales precisely due to be...

Chris, No offense taken. I think you are asking for reasonable questions, and you are trying to do your research before buying/investing on something. Nothing wrong with that. Myself and others in this case choose to try Nano-Oil purely based on feedback stories/etc.. Yes, technically more risky. Ho...
