+1 on the Southard. I too have all three and they are all some of the finest Spydercos available today. But, I too find that my Southard gets more pocket time than any of them. Bottom line , , , you can't go wrong no matter which one you go for.

It wouldn't be large enough to be classified into what most consider a typical "camp knife" but all in all I'd say it is absolutely perfect for backpacking. Very lightweight (similar to that of a folder of comparable size), takes a nice edge and holds it well while resisting rust like a champ, and t...

I think you will be surprised how quick the learning curve is on the Edge Pro. I'd say anyone with a thorough knowledge of what sharpening is and how/why it works will easily be able to apply that knowledge to the Edge Pro and see great results very quickly. However, prudence would suggest that taki...

My Southard is about as good as I've ever seen in any Spyderco. In fact, I'd say its F&F is absolutely on par with my Sebenzas and **** near as perfect as my Hinderers. However, all my Taiwan Spydercos are awesome (GB, Techno, Domino, Valoton, and Perin PPT). I know there may be some, as EvilD has s...

Everyone has their own opinion, and mine is that the Taiwan knives are the best being produced by Spyderco right now. I'm not a huge fan of their knives made in Japan, but I'd put Taiwan ever so slightly above Golden in terms of fit and finish. It still feels weird typing that, but that's been my ex...

You may not plan on reprofiling now, , , but I'd say that is perhaps the chief benefit of an EdgePro. The 120 will need to be leveled more than the others, but like Chuck said, it's way easy to do. Personally, I use Choserra and really love them. Before these I had some from Congress and they did ok...

Thanks guys. Called them today to pull the trigger on another Sebenza, , this time with an insingo blade. They seemed extremely squared away on the phone.

Plaza Cutlery

Thinking about calling Plaza Cutlery to place an order. Anyone have any positive or negative experiences in dealing with them?

Nano-Oil. 10 wt on some, 5 wt on others. It isn't the end all be all of lubes, but it is pretty darn good stuff.

Mine arrived yesterday. It was the least sharp of any Spyderco knife I've ever gotten right out of the box. Noticibly less sharp than the norm in my opinion. No big deal though because I was going to, and did, re-profile the blade on my EdgePro. Noticed two things: (1) that S110v wants to take a nic...

Can't wait to get mine and re-profile it on the EdgePro. I bet that's gonna look sick. Anyone thinking about what edge angle to put on the S110v?

I hate to say it but dollar for dollar I would probably opt for a S90V Military over this forum knife, or at the very least I would buy one of each instead of two forum knives. Like I said earlier, I might be able to swallow the price if the vendor's return policy and business ethics were better. T...

That's going to be one awesome knife, and they certainly have the 'right' to charge whatever they want, , , , ,but for some reason this just doesn't set right with me. Kind of like 'pay us now, with no guarantee you're actually gonna get your knife,' etc, etc. Like I said, nothing explicitly wrong w...

Sorry to see this post, as I suspect it comes with some pain on your part. I've been living with Diabetes for about 13 years now. It sucks always being slaved to my insulin pump, but with a little bit of education and some determination to stay on top of things you can make it so it doesn't stand in...
