Szabo - Damascus delivery

Ha! No... there is no Szabo Damascus. But, I did get a Szabo and a Caly 3 Damascus in the mail today. The Caly 3 Damascus is #2 for me. I didn't intend to get two. But, it just sorta happened. http://i1042.photobucket.com/albums/b425/racer88_bucket/Knives/Szabo-Caly-3-Damascus-4914.jpg Close-up of t...

I've been carrying my PM2 CF/S90V most of the year. I just can't seem to put it away and let the other Spydies come out and play. http://i1042.photobucket.com/albums/b425/racer88_bucket/Knives/Paramilitary-2-CF_02-14-12_.jpg But, I think it's going to finally get bumped by this recent acquisition: h...

Someone beat me to it, but I was going to suggest the Spyderco Rock. About $130 online. Next to a Paramilitary 2 for size reference: http://i1042.photobucket.com/albums/b425/racer88_bucket/Knives/Rock-PM2-2.jpg Comes with a sheath: http://i1042.photobucket.com/albums/b425/racer88_bucket/Knives/Rock-...

An older woman I used to work with saw me cleaning a carrot in the office kitchen with my Delica ZDP and exclaimed "Wow, that sure is a big knife your using for that!" she then proceeds to go into the utensil drawer and pull out a 4" steak knife to cut open her packaging for her micr...

Wasn't the invention of the "switchblade" so that disabled (one-armed) workers could deploy a folding knife on the job? Deploying a fixed blade is even faster than a switchblade. And, the funny thing is that I can deploy one of my regular Spydies with one hand faster than I can any of my a...

West Side Story is exactly why switchblades were outlawed. Look at the dates of the related events.

Yep. The reason "switchblades" were outlawed was because of their use in a MOVIE.

Yes... I've seen it. But, I've had folks be VOCAL about it. "Holy crap! Why do you carry a knife?" "Oh my gawd!" "GEEZUS!" But, if we were chatting in the kitchen and I grab a 10-inch knife out of a butcher block to slice a tomato.... nothing. Why? Because people are ir...

I agree with all the above comments. The Tenacious is a great value.... crazy good value. I've got about 50 Spydercos, including many rather pricey models. And, the quality of the Tenacious is amazing. Good choice and welcome!

Nice photography! (I realize it's the photographer, not the equipment) I would have guessed you were using multiple soft boxes for the lighting. Nice job! :) Here's a fun series of photos I did of my M2 Translucent on an x-ray viewer: http://i1042.photobucket.com/albums/b425/racer88_bucket/Knives/Ma...

My intent has always been to make ALL my Spydies "users." But, I bought too many, it seems! In about 2-1/2 years, I've picked up about 50 Spydies. I love them all. But, I find one I enjoy carrying, and I end up carrying it for along time. Right now I'm carrying my PM2 CF/S90V, and it's bee...

I couldn't vote, because there was no selection of "BOTH!" :D

I think the PM2 is probably one of the best "all-around" Spyderco models.

And, the Navaja is just way cool.

Nice review, and you always take such great pics. Nice job. I like the bolsters and the CF...but I just can't get into the Spyderco Damascus. I will say that I love the spine shot though.. . How about this one? :D http://i1042.photobucket.com/albums/b425/racer88_bucket/Knives/Caly-Damascus-4840.jpg

Civilians: people who have folks trespass who aren't always enemy troops. Just my opinion. I'm not knocking the weapon light concept. Just the current application of it. Slap a thousand lumens on a rifle and I won't argue ;) . That's an interesting definition of "civilian." If someone is ...
