I just can't use an electric...no matter what i use i get the worst razor burn ever. For me it's a Mach 3 with some Neutrogena shave lotion....this stuff is so much better than your typical foam/gel stuff. On top of that, i also shave my head, which will also razor burn to hell and back without a go...

I can't get my Native to open when I put a zip tie on it.It would open partially-thats it.I wish they made a waved Manix 2,Police and Native. If it won't open zip tied, i'm betting it wouldn't open with a waved blade either. A lot of it has to do with the geometry of the knife and blade itself in o...

I ended up going back to the zip tie also, because i was worried about rust under the metal. I never did find any stainless to try it with, and aluminum seemed to crack and wouldn't bend over onto itself like steel does. The zip tie works great, i just wanted something slimmer that still did the sam...

Actually, it depends on what type of carbon fiber. Autoclaved CF used in F1 and motorcycles for example can be bent darn near in half and not snap or fray. Stuff is amazing and expensive..... This is true, they also have a version of carbon for hunting bows so yeah i guess it does depend on how it'...

Hmm....i may have to give that a try. My Caly 3 doesn't really work that well with a zip tie.

I'm still holding out, but i'm almost 100% positive my next purchase will be a Sage 3 unless something really good comes up in person that i can't pass up.

I used to be heavy into gas powered RC trucks, and you can get almost any part for them made in carbon fiber. Some common parts are shock towers and A arms for the suspension. While light and extremely stiff which gives awesome feedback and handling response, if you hit so much as a pile of marshmal...

Geez $300, is it made from unobtainium?

The only thing i don't like is all the blue...i'd much rather it were earth tones of some color combo.

Hey Paul, have you seen The Art Of Manliness's "Why A Man Should Carry A Pocket Knife"? http://artofmanliness.com/2008/04/01/every-man-should-carry-a-pocket-knife/ Reason #3. Cutting an apple. I love eating an apple that I’ve cut with my pocket knife, slice by slice. You feel like a bad *** doing it...

If there's no law preventing you from carrying the Endura, there's no reason not to IMO. There are other knives i'd rather carry but both are great, can't go wrong with either.

It would be nice if there was some kind of documentation stating why they were each made a second..but i guess that's a lot to ask. If the typical knife guy can't figure out why, then the standards at Golden must be pretty dang high.

I would love to see a shrunk down version of the Civilian with a 3 inch blade so it's legal to carry here. I know that would sort of take away from its purpose but still the S blade maybe in FFG would still make for a nasty compact SD knife.

A lot of people make this into a huge issue...but honestly your hands see more germs than your knife will even if you DO cut open bags of manure all day. Just wash the blade of your knife the same way you wash your hands before you eat and you'll be fine. I've switched to using food grade mineral oi...

The CF handle is worth $50 more to you? Honestly i only bought mine because i wanted a Caly 3 and i didn't want to wait to find one online so i bought the first one i came across in person, which since they discontinued all but the carbon fiber version, it was my only option. Hey...you get what you...

I only have experience with the Caly 3 as far as carbon fiber goes, but for me the ergonomics of the handle are enough for grip alone..i think you could make the scales out of polished glass and you'd still have a pretty decent grip on the knife unless you're doing some butter food prep :)
