It's good to see some thought going into sub 3" blades, as laws keep getting more restrictive. Spyderco is abou the only outfit out there that gives high performance in a small package. Carlos' suggestions seem pretty solid to me. But whatever the final product is,it's sure to be a winner.

Lockbacks. They just seem safer and more reliable. They have stood the test of time.

The vanadium content of the blade makes it "harder" to sharpen. But the end result is well worth it.

Congratulations on your Native! You have bought, IMO, the best everyday carry at any price. I also think you will be more than happy with the plain edge. I'm just not a fan of serrations (sorry, Sal). The Delica and Calypso Jr. are two more models...

4. Delica
5. Dragonfly
6. Q
7. LadyBug (would prefer plain edge)
8. Cricket

Get whichever one feels the best to YOU. But keep in mind state and local laws. The Native is my all around favorite, so far.

The FRN Native is as close to perect as any knife out there. Overall thickness is just right.

Native Drone?

Sal, is there any chance of a Native drone? It would be great for those idle moments in front of the TV. No more cut upholstery or pierced body parts if it gets away from you.
