Re: s45vn pm2 sprint alert thread

That pattern looks great. Is it woven into the G10 somehow, or milled?

I think if you land hard enough on a knife to break its micarta scales, your real problem is going to be hospitalization.

Re: s45vn pm2 sprint alert thread

I’m just going to wait until either S45V or SPY27 ends up as the next standard steel. I don’t get the point of sprinting steels that were clearly intended to be mass-market.

It should bother me too yet for some reason it doesn't. I at one point Sal said they didn't coat the liners because of the compression lock
I don’t think that’s the whole story. The Yojimbo 2 blackout is blacked out all the way.

Ewww...Miami Hurricanes colors!! Not to mention that ultra bright, easily dirty CS orange! Odd seeing them with Rex45 though. Didn't expect to see that.
Sweeeet…Miami Hurricanes colors!!

I almost bought one of each of the old G-10 Urban models just so I could have a knife like this.

Re: Just ordered some Nano Oil *cough snake oil cough*

I thought nano oil was fine, but I recently got some white lithium grease for something else, and now it’s in the bearings of my Mantra 2. I’d say it’s a little faster than the nano oil, and it stays put a LOT longer. Sorry for doubting, D.

Hi BoydDroid, Welcome to our forum. Most of us begin our attraction to knives based on appearance. As we learn more and more about the world of knives and then other sharp things, we seem to have a shift in out thinking. I hope you enjoy you Manix 2. Re: Knifejoy Exclusive SMOCK!

I went over to Knifejoy, and didn’t see the Smock among the exclusives, but wow! the price on the c20v Para2 is lower than the plain jane variant at a lot of places. I gotta stop by that place more often.

Re: Surprised by my favorite tiny knife.

In my southern city growing up hawkbills were illegal unless you were working. They are illegal to carry in many places, but not always enforced. I think knife laws are pretty much always going to be used as a way to increase the pressure on people whom the police already have some issue with. I th...

And to your original question about whether there are places other than school where you aren’t allowed to bring it: Dodgers games. Courthouses. Airports.

Folders are for when you don’t have a dedicated spot to keep a fixed blade. Tackle boxes, go bags, glove boxes, these are places for fixed blades.

I’ve used my Military that I got a couple weeks back, and it’s great. But I sure do find myself reaching for a compression lock that isn’t there pretty frequently.

As for understanding the allure of DE blades, you don't have to. Tastes differ, and there are plenty of things folks, including some here, do that leave me scratching my head.

I may have to get one. That angular style really pops. If I were guessing its design heritage, I’d have guessed Bauhaus rather than tribal Africa.

And 20CV to sweeten the deal.
