Re: Spyderco 2019 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

Wow. The Shaman is more knife than I usually like to carry, but that is awfully tempting.

Re: Spyderco 2019 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

I figure the odds are approaching zero that 2019 will actually see four reveals. I'm sure it seemed like a can't-miss way to impose some order on the production pipeline when they came up with it. But if your production process is too difficult to predict with certainty, you can't just create that ...

Re: Slysz Swayback

This is the first Slysz that really speaks to me. I do love the Bowie, but the handle was too small. Really though, I want to see this made.(thanks Abba) https://i.ibb.co/Z8Qt9rP/28023967245-23e759c4fd-b.jpg Make the blade around 3.75" and it would be perfect! My hand would actually fit the handle!...

The fancy folders get all the attention, but these Z-Cuts may be the best knives of the year.

Ooh. I love it. I'm a hardcore coffee guy—roast my own beans and everything.

Miir mugs are awesome. I can have a cup of coffee stay warm on my desk for a couple hours:

With a big red Spyder on there? Oh, yeah…

Man I was thinking this would be great for a Mantra 4, copy the Mantra 2 blade, leave the Ti scales and make it a compression lock
I would certainly have to revise that hard pass if they did this.

Re: How about a titanium compression frame lock?

Unlike the switch from liner to frame lock, where you (in theory) get a lock that works harder when you grip harder, the switch to a frame comp lock doesn't get you anything except more difficult machining. In fact, you may just be making the lock worse, because you can't pinch the lock with your i...

The Jester is one of those knives that I'd buy even if I can't make up a convincing story about how I need it.

If they had coated the liners black, I'd have had no choice but to buy. But I'm saved by my OCD.

Re: Spyderco Province Photos

HI Jim, nice clean design and shades of the classic Bowie . Good choice on the steel grade and a good balance between ductility and hardness and geometry for edge performance. It was worth waiting for. Congratulations Jim and Spyderco, Phil It strips the Bowie format down to the bare essentials. Pu...

Re: Bento Box M390 PM2 Re-Release on July 19th

I think it's so weird that there's this one outlier with such a different approach to reselling sprint runs. EDIT: But the existence and success of BBS's strategy suggests that the other retailers are doing something wrong. The others are selling them off fast, at prices that let the secondary marke...
