I really like these beads, but with one caveat: I wish the edges and corners were a little more rounded off. Not super round, but just a little bit. And maybe a slight taper to the top and bottom. Hi Kyle: The corners are slightly rounded and do not feel at all sharp, however, as the Bug is deep re...

Bug Beads - a review

An unexpected surprise of the 2012 SHOT Show occurred at the Spyderco booth Friday afternoon when Mike Keough of Schmuckatelli Co. dropped by with a treasure trove of lanyard beads and lanyards (literally a two gallon Ziploc® bag full) featuring a new bead of his creation. Excitement ensued as Mike ...

Hi -F1, FYI, Spyderco introduced VG-10 into the marketplace with the Moran. sal Sal: Are you sure? I seem to recall that the C16 Lightweight Goddard was the first production knife (Spyderco or otherwise) to use VG-10. Perhaps the Goddard this was the first VG-10 ClipIt. Or maybe I'm thinking of the...

Hi Paul:

Yes, the well on the R3 is approximately 1/16" shallower. Specifically .125" vs .182" on the R1 & R2. Good Eye!

I agree with Paul concerning the wording. I have always preferred "Boye Indent" (used intermittently and seemingly interchangeably in Spyderco literature, a pet peeve).
