Re: Caribbean Terrible Rattle

Funny, but I have a Rhino with the same issue. (I’m 98% sure it’s the same issue as you described). The rattle noise does go away when the blade is open and locked, which makes sense.

Re: Spyderco Shaman Lock Up Issue

Welcome to the forum, YvetteBaker. If it were mine, I would likely contact Blade HQ first and see if they will offer an exchange for your knife. If that doesn’t work, I’d then contact Spyderco’s W&R and see about sending it in for a look. Hope it works out for you. The Shaman is a really fine knife. 👍

Re: Unpopular opinions

I couldn’t agree more on on the small blades. (Most of my other preferences are unpopular, so I’ll just stick with this one for now. ;) ) Not trying to be disrespectful, but I thought I've read you said your a collector and not a user? I admire your collection, it's amazing! But if you don't actual...

Re: Unpopular opinions

I think my controversial blade opinions are: BBL lock is probably the best out there, but I'm not really a fan of the CBBL lock. Spyderedge is where it's at Small blades are perfectly adequate more often than not Same goes for VG-10 Also, Reverse-S is the best small blade shape I couldn’t agree mor...

Re: Will the Ronin 2 get an upgrade to BD1N?

If I recall correctly, Sal mentioned some time ago that BD1N would be gradually replacing BD1. If that’s the case, it seems like it would be a possibility for the Ronin 2.

Re: Delica Blade Play

I would probably just send it in to W&R, if it were mine. Spyderco can evaluate and see what course of action needs to be taken.

https://i.imgur.com/CBH8Gma.jpg Used and abused since 2012. Haven’t carried it much lately... Just put a fresh 30° inclusive edge on it and I think I’ll carry it for a while. Been wanting a Sebenza forever. Is it worth the $450? I am getting really close to pulling the trigger on one of these. Sebe...

8A0741A1-925A-4784-9783-7E0188028E8C.png I took this picture about 6 years ago with my first spyderco, the tenacious. It happened while I was driving through western NC on my way back to Virginia when I stopped at a truck-stop somewhere in the mountains for a short break. I saw this view and though...

Re: Strong Smell

I thought if you had a cat and it started to smell, you should change the litter box? I knew this was coming, lol. :D But on a serious note, I too have noticed a different-smelling odor on my Cat and Chicago. I’m guessing it might have something to do with the type(s) of materials used? It might al...

Re: All I want for Christmas...

Are the liners recessed on the Caribbean? If yes, I can see how this would be a little challenging (and potentially expensive) to do on a semi-production basis. I’ve only done a few recessed custom scales, and it’s not a lot of fun to mill out the slots by hand on a manual mill. CNC would definitely...
