Re: Paramilitary 2, a delicate knife?

Spyderco knives are not delicate. They are made for use, and hard use... including the Paramilitary 2. Obviously you shouldn't pry with it or you will break the tip off. I've never had a problem. There are other knives that are built more like a "tank" (that comes at the cost of increased weight and...

Re: Casual Sage 5 Lightweight reveal

Has Spyderco used a high hollow grind before? I'd love to see what that would look like. Speaking of, I think it is great that I can go to Spyderco.com and search for any knife that you have produced. It is fun to look at models that I never knew existed. The Gayle Bradley is what first comes to mi...

Re: Cruwear micarta Bushcraft/Proficient

I have to say that I don't think it's just the blade shape/grind that is different. I own 2 Bushcrafts (Burled Maple and G10 handles), and I also bought the Proficient but returned it because I didn't think the handle was as comfortable... I think the butt of the grip might be slightly different (an...

Re: Revealed: New Spyderco Sharpener!

Wowza... forget the sharpener, look at the new kitchen knives Spyderco is collaborating on!!! https://www.spyderco.com/culinary/ Yep, that is why I included the link to the original thread and posted the sharpener info in a new one so as to avoid derailing the topic. Sorry about that... not sure ho...

Re: Hello, why do you guys like Spyderco?

1. The Spyderhole is the best opening mechanism without question 2. Very ergonomic and useful knife designs 3. Reliable and durable knives - I've owned dozens of Spyderco knives and have never had to utilize their warranty/repair (I bought another knife brand recently and had to contact their warran...

Re: Just bought a Chokwe

Had no interest in the original, but after handling the Lil'Chokwe prototype I am looking forward to it. Where did you see the prototype? I love the original, but I don't carry it much because it's a little big for EDC, and the detent isn't very strong, so it once open in my pocket... hope they mak...

I think people are forgetting that using a foreign steel in Japan is expensive and the high price of the Lil Temperance is why sales are slow. Should probably do a Japanese steel to keep costs lower.

Re: Lil temperance question

Ideally, I would like an FRN Lil' Temperance with bi-directional texture and a slight 3D curve to the scale. Nested liners like the G-10 model. Steel is a question because many are complaining that S30V is less in demand because it's an "old" steel. I'm not sure of what type of steel the market for...

I found your AXE at BladeHq it is out of stock, i think it was an older Spyderco Axe the price was really good. No... it's not an older model. It was just released in 2018 and some online stores are currently sold out waiting to re-stock. If you Google any number of online stores, you can either pr...

Looks to me like the price increase hit Japanese made knives more... the Delica 4 increased quite a bit as well... it's now $78 for a Delica.

Can we have another Paramilitary 2 Rex 45 Sprint Run?

Sadly, I missed out on the Paramilitary 2, Rex 45, Burnt Orange G-10 Sprint Run. Sal, any plans on doing another Paramilitary 2 Rex 45 Sprint run? Say... maybe in a Carbon Fiber or Titanium handle? That would be awesome. Thanks!
