I like the lock. A lot. Light, strong, ambi, very smooth. Hard not to like that.

I don't find mine that difficult to release. Wish the knob was a little larger, but it is certainly workable.

Choices, Choices

So, after pouring over the catalog and forum for about a month, I just ordered a Sage 3. I’m pretty excited about this knife. I was very tempted to buy a Sage 1 but since I already have a Native IV I thought I would try for something a little different. I have a Buck Mayo so another S30V titanium fr...

The Native IV is very likely my favorite knife of all time. I love the heft, the compactness, the ergos and the aesthetics. Mine is currently en route to Spyderco to have them evaluate a few QC issues but the design is solid. I am hoping the folks in CO can improve on the product of those in Seki.

I've done a lot more than that already and mine didn't break. That user's experience doesn't give me any concern.

If it's on the top, right side of the spine it is most likely the Grind mark :spyder: puts on the blade to denote the knife is a 2nd. I'm not talking about the seconds notch. I'm talking about a nick in the edge as several others have reported. Mine was minor and is almost gone with a touch up shar...

Skunk, yes. Used my Bushy this weekend. I glued the one crack and it is imperceptible. I am sorry Spyderco took such a loss on these as the knife is a winner (!) and a fantastic deal at $90. My Bushy scratched when sharpening and it also came with a small knick in the blade. I wonder if this is the ...

Ordered mine. If it were me, that would be the last time I did business with the wood vendor. Anyone familiar with the saying that if you make a customer happy he'll tell his friends, but if you make him mad he'll tell everyone? Sal, you sure have a lot of class for not calling this vendor out in pu...

I feel a bit petty and silly admitting this, but given the success of the "Rit Dye" thread and the number of folks buying trainers just to swap scales, I know I am in good company. Presently I am considering buying a the ZDP-189 Stretch II just because of its handle color. (Like I need another knife...

Both sound normal to me. The blade on my Cento IV is better centered than yours. The burr is completely normal. Alan, my knife blade pushes in too. Does not hurt anything and does not bother me personally.

Last, but not least .. there's SFO. Sorry about rubbing that in :) Before I read this line, my first thought was "Someone who lives in Golden, CO is complaining about the availability of Spydercos?" There is a Bass Pro about an hour north and another about 2.5 hours south. Their selection isn't gre...
