Re: Damascus UK Penknife UKPK

I'd like to see CF or Titanium if it's gonna be in Damasteel.

Re: Got first Spyderco, somewhat disappointed...

I'd do another round of WD-40 personally. Sometimes my older broken in knives get stuff in them or on them and become gritty. I usually oil and blow them out or wipe down everything that's exposed. Check the bearing surfaces for any scratches too. If you're seeing any scratches where the lock bar in...

Re: Taking apart knives - part 2

Bought my Shaman, was grinding hard and would not open easily using the same hand. First time opening up a folder. I took it apart and lubed it pretty well with Blue Lube. It now opens pretty smoothly, except I can still hear a "sliding" sound when opening and closing the action. Is that normal? It...

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

DSK meglodon and a Microtech siphon with a spyderco bali yo fisher refill. Just had to add a spacer so it was long enough. Definitely more reliable than a G2 mini ink cartridge.

Re: Got first Spyderco, somewhat disappointed...

I would suggest getting some WD-40 and spraying it into the pivot and lockbar area. Then using compressed air to blow it out toward the tip of the blade. See if any kind of gunk comes out. After that I'd work it a few times and repeat. Then wash it out. Dry it and lube it up. If that doesn't work I'...

I also vote for micarta. I only wish the darn Dao had micarta instead of polished G10. It's a beautiful knife but I worry about sweaty hands slipping.

Re: S90V for foodprep?

The only time I had a problem with S90V was the coarse satin finish on the southfork holding droplets of water. It made a few specks of rust this way but they were easily scratched off with my fingernail. My S90V millie, para 2, and manix 2 and xl never had that problem. I used to cut a lot of raw m...

Re: 3 Classics You Want To See As SPRINT RUNS

The original Jess Horn with the bone and bolsters and the trapezoidal divot. The Kris. Would like to see this in a white linen, a jigged bone, and a stag. So that's 3 sprints right there. Forester in 3V. Nice big massive spyderco Chopper in a Chopper steel. I'd settle for other steels like 4V or som...
