At this point, might be worth waiting around to see what comes out at SHOT this week. I just saw a youtube of an ultra slim Springfield XD .45 that's only an inch wide. I suspect that the past couple years' consumer fascination with carry guns will "carry" over with other manufacturers as well.

Butch is modest, his shop made razors look stunning!!

Get your razor sharpened by a pro first so you know what a sharp razor is supposed to feel like.

I have both Sig 239 and CZ P-01. I prefer the CZ, but don't regret the Sig. The Sig feels clunky and top heavy compared to the CZ. CZ mere 2 oz heavier empty but has 6 rd. larger capacity. CZ maybe 1/8 wider (not including grips) plus decocker sticks out a bit further. CZ P-01 is about 3 oz lighter ...

No. Keep it clean. Wherever there are sales, there are poor seller practices as well as all of the differences of opinion, angst, and resentment that go along with them.

I have 2 Alessi IWB holsters and another on order. One just arrived, I ordered it in the late spring. Be ready for a wait. The delay was much longer than for the first holster I ordered from them. I didn't mind the delay too much, just a heads up.

Spyderco by far and away is my favorite.
I like Fallkniven fixed blades.
I have a few Benchmades I don't regret buying.
I really, really like my Hogue Ex-01 3.5. 2nd best knife under $200 I've ever owned (best is ATR Ti).

My first was an '81 KZ 650 with a lot of miles on it--this was back in 93. I started with a used bike because that's what I could pay cash for. Because I had no money, and the bike was used, I also had to learn how to maintain it--while it's nice to be able to work on your own car, I think it's esse...

I have no experience with polymer revolvers. I think I'd avoid them until I do know more and could make a better decision with them. We'll see what we see. Joe Yes, worried me too. There's a youtube of a guy who burned through the top strap(?is that the right word for where frame meets barrel above...

I really want to like the aluminum and scandium framed Smith + Wessons. Sadly, I find them unbearable to shoot, even in .38. My trigger finger gets thrown forward and hits the trigger guard. I could deal with a little pain in a carry gun, but because of the pain, I tend to anticipate and my accuracy...

Thanks for the info on the Foredom. It's another option I'll have to think about. I don't use my Dremel every day but have used it quite a bit over the years. Nothing beats using quality tools but I'll have to think about it if it's worth it for me. 2nd the Foredom. I've had mine for a decade. More...

The 2nd A. should cover knife laws, and I think it is just a matter of time. The 2nd A didn't even create an individual right to bear arms until 2008 and that right was not incorporated against the states until 2010. I'm contemplating bringing a 2nd A suit against the City of Philadelphia which has,...

So will there be any for those of us who are late to the party? My understanding is that 1) not all were sold at time of release because problem was discovered while Spyderco still had stock 2) those of us who sent ours in for re heat treat received refunds with understanding that returned mules di...

Crazy steel!

Sounds a bit like a thinly disguised solicitation to me though. I suggest you delete the "if you have any interest in this project please pm me" portion of your post in order to comply with the forum rules which are available here:

I've never had a problem with delays.
Is your paypal account verified? If not, perhaps that could explain delay--in which case delay is likely a mechanism to minimize fraud and would be a good thing from my perspective.

Incredibly tough. Here's a link to a knifemaker's attempt to make his own natural fiber and resin (i.e., micarta) handle material and how his held up to everything from sledgehammers to .38s. It didn't hold up to .44 mags ;( http://www.fendleyknives.com/LM105_tough.htm When canvas micarta gets wet, ...

Looks like we have plenty of steels to choose from I think. And who knows what we will get in future sprints.
With so many great steels produced here in US, and numerous steels being developed by Carpenter, I'm pretty happy the way things have been going.

Other US items I've picked up in the last month or so: Galco holster-purse for my recently widowed aunt. Her sons are buying her a pistol to go with it. Galco belt and rifle sling for me. 4 Seahorse cases to put together first aid kits as holiday gifts. (Pelican products also made here) 5 Galco pock...
