Emerson wave is more for combat than the Spyderco wave. It's just an opinion. Fine that is your opinion, but you still haven't explained the basis for your opinion. I owned a waved Emerson Mini-Commander and never would have trusted its small wave hook as being a reliable feature for combat opening...

Can't stand the stuff

OK, unlike the previous posters, I really have a mental block about just about all math. I am an educated guy, but I think my mind just isn't wired for mathematical reasoning. Had problems with math starting in elementary school and it never got better. Its a great source of mirth in my family when ...

Triple Action

I wanted to buy a CS Triple Action once, but was persuaded not to by a number of online reviews that complained that the handles were not well constructed and that they either did not open smoothly or that they eventually fell apart  Can't say whether it was true or not, but given the price, an...

Using the search feature would answer this question. Spyderco used to sponsor the MBC classes taught by Mike Janich. Since Mike has moved on, it currently only produces the tactical tools we admire so much.

Hey, I'm just basing this on what I read in public forums, but it seems that Bram tends to go off half-cocked at times, and I get the impression that he has burned some bridges. The Strider guys likewise seem to have their own sometimes abrasive "personal style." If you search out some their comment...

I doubt I'll get many requests for those if Sal has ok'd the production of them from :spyder: STR Ah, but that's the point. At this time as I understand it, Sal doesn't have active plans to introduce low-riders for the 4's. However, if I knew that you were able to make them, I'd go ahead and pick u...

After some thought, I think the only semi-custom company capable of producing the Gunting would be Strider. Only company I would trust the Gunting to. Not to mention the demographic that buys Striders are the same who would buy the Gunting. What are your thoughts on that? From what I've seen of the...

Have you tried making a low-ride for the Endura/Delica 4 yet?

Did my eyes decive me or did sal say they have a low ride clip for the three hole style? What would be really sweet would be a small plate that would clamp a low ride wire clip (ala UKPK) to three hole clip knives. Sal has said more recently on the other forum that there is no current plan to offer...

It seems that a lot of fans of other premium brands are very proud of their framelocks and seem to accord them a status of strength and reliability beyond that of every other type of lock. From my reading of the Spyderco catalogue though it seems like Spyderco's strongest locks have been not been f...

Kristi,

Do you know if there has been any progress on the idea of the folder-over deep-pocket clip as an aftermarket accessory for the Delica and Endura?

79% correct, guessed on a lot of the steel questions. Don't think that age statistic means much. Wish they posted the answers.
