Given the sheeple quotient, I'd like to see more stealth designs. That is, BLK or SD folders disguised as gent's knives. (On the same note, clips should allow for deep pocket carry with minimal handle showing.) Best regards, Argyll Qui non est hodie cras minus aptus erit -- Ovid (He who is not prepa...

I don't think you have to be concerned that they are coming back, but clearly your fiance isn't taking her own safety as seriously as you would like. I don't know about crime where you live, but in my suburban neighborhood most burglaries take place during the day, while the residents are at work. B...

In regards to knife laws, this site is a good place to start:

As a general rule what you suggest makes sense. The tip of my Spyderco Endura trainer is so rounded, however, I don't believe there is much risk of accidental impalement with normal use. I second Gary's suggestion. It would be nice to be able to see a picture and stats of the Lil Temperance for example, even if it wasn't currently available from the factory store. Mike,

Great column, please keep writing them. I note that most Filipino Martial Arts start students on sticks, as opposed to blades. Do the stick skills provide a useful foundation for MBC?

Best regards,
Argyll

The Tactical One Admits Prior Posting was False

For those of you who previously read the "Attacked my [sic] a civilian" thread posted by The Tactical One (TT0), in which he claimed to have been the victim of a crime committed with a Spyderco knife, he has admitted on bladeforums.com that the story was false. "the story was false and was truely me...

No offense taken, just interested in learning if I had overlooked some area of local law. By the way, my compliments to you on your handling of the encounter with the police officer. Hi Zatoichi, While I am sure they mean well, I'd be interested in knowing on what basis people are advising you that a large or serrated folder is illegal to carry in California. The state Penal Code has no restrictions on size of folders, except for automatic knives where only switchblades under 2"...

MBC Class Knife Preference

I understand that attendees of MBC Levels 1 & 2 get to choose either the Delica or Endura for their training and live knife.
