Is Manly An Authorized Licensee?

Is Manly an authorized licensee of the Round Opening Hole, Jess Horn and other IP? Their fixed blade, while I cannot place its name in memory, looks very much like one of the recent fixed blade offerings by Spyderco. Their Peak and Peak 2 are obviously derived from the Jess Horn, in addition to havi...

Re: I've had enough...

I lean more in the user direction of collecting, and have found that my purchasing frequency has slowed down as I have filled all the various niches that I have need for a knife.

Tool pouch for your hip? The Nite Ize Pock Its Mini perhaps? Re: Time for New, More Advanced Spyderco Pocket Clips

One problem with grippier clips is higher level of wear on the pocket outsides of clothing. Keep the textures on the knife where they belong.

Re: Fish Hunter has arrived! :)

It really bothered me to leave this issue hanging, so here is what I came up with for a way to attach straps to the scabbard using existing holes. Here is the business side that the straps go through, and is against the appendage being attached to: http://imgur.com/3KsRQCt.jpg And here is the side t...

Re: Spydercard value?

Good grief! If they are going for that much it is time for Spyderco to bring out an updated (so it does not affect collector values) version. See: //forum.spyderco.com/viewto ... d#p1160216

A wire clip is good for putting a small knife on the outside your underwear band so that nothing is digging into your skin.

Well, if they were still on the market, the SpyderCard or ByrdCard would be perfect. But definitely a Manbug in addition to whatever else you decide on.

I carry a Gerber EAB for this reason. Replaceable Utility Blade in a very small knife.

Re: How have you preferences changed over the years?

Forgot to mention, I have never liked the compression lock. First time I opened one, a ParaMilitary, It bit the meat of my index finger. Whenever I have given the compression lock a another chance in stores, the movements needed to disengage it do not feel particularly natural, compared to that of b...

AliExpress J&J Knife

Aliexpress seems to have eliminated Spyderco as a valid search term for the most part. Latest scan results in a single yojimbo 2 fake. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Spyderco-Yojimbo-2-G-10-Plain-Edge-Blade-Pocket-Knife-Black-C85G2/32820974188.html?ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_5_10152_10...

Even though it has killed all my image links on the forums I frequent, I have saved and deleted all my images there in PB... Re: How have you preferences changed over the years?

Interesting question. So interesting, and since Sal asked, I am breaking my own rule of excessive personal security to give my input. My preferences Have changed surprisingly little. I have stuck almost exclusively to Spyderco for all my folding knives, and exclusively for EDC. My first Spyderco was...
