Re: What’s Your Favorite Underrated Sleeper Knife?

Centofante 3. Great thin blade. I've carried one for a while now. I think a nice upgrade on it would be to unpin it and add some embellishment somehow with scales or nicer steel

Wife is making squash bread and zucchini bread with stuff from our garden. I'm excited to eat warm bread.

Re: 1st Impressions Of The New SpyOpera

I really like how smooth the micarta was while still having great grip. I thought the blade pivot was smooth and I'm kicking myself for not making the purchase

Re: Spy Opera Alert Thread

I am kicking myself for not grabbing one from the SFO today while I was there. It was one of the last knives I saw after letting my wife try a bunch until she settled on her first pocket knife. If I had only known. The knife is on my must have list. I'll pick one up as soon as I can

Re: Spyderco 2020 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

I went to the SFO today and the spyopera is there and available. I'm kicking myself for not grabbing it and may have to go back tomorrow. That handle is so nice

Re: Vivi's Knife Videos

Which Spyderco do you recommend for cleaning up the edge of a disc after throwing it at a tree and leaving a huge gash in new plastic? I didn't see that video either

Re: UPS

I too have signed up for fed ex delivery management and USPS informed delivery. I haven't had issues in two years and my mail carrier and I have great rapport. Unfortunately she moved a few weeks back and I haven't met the new guy due to cofefe.

Re: What Are You Reading ?

Douglas Blackmon's Slavery by Another Name . A deep dive into Jim Crow. Like Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee , not for the faint of heart. You'll want to bathe when you come up for air. But, oh, the writing is superb. My mom was reading this recently and recommended it. I may order a copy for on deck

Re: What type of pans does everyone cook in??

I miss cooking on gas. The even flame doesn't cause the dips and rises in convection I experience even on glass top electric or the old coil

Re: What type of pans does everyone cook in??

I have different pans for different uses. Sometimes you want a bit more stick than non stick or cast iron. Sometimes you want to cook at higher heat sometimes you make a sauce that comes together easier in stainless.... The real question is why in the world are they still making and installing infer...

Re: New Spyderco Knives: Blade Show Week 2020 brought to you by KnifeCenter

Did anyone catch that Eric said the s90v cf native Chief would not be peel ply but a different texture/pattern? Interesting I caught it as well but I believe it's still peel ply, just a different texture of peel ply than we've seen on the other S90/CF knives. I know the Chief is still solid carbon ...

Re: Spyderco Face Mask (now bandana, hat and patch)

You've done bandannas before and you have your sales history for reference. Not saying bandannas are old school, but buffs are a very useful piece of outdoor kit. Perhaps a bit more fashionable and contemporary than bandannas........especially given the pandemic where they can serve as a backup fac...

Re: What Are You Reading ?

I am currently working my way through Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee by Dee Brown. It's an account of Native American history as told from the point of view of Native Americans. Living in Colorado it's got some local interest but overall explains many of the events that brought us to where we are today

Re: What Are You Reading ?

We listened to zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance riding from Colorado to Louisiana and back on a trip to see the inlaws and pick up andouille and boudin for myself last month. Good listen. Not sure I'd have been able to read it all

Re: Spyderco Face Mask (now bandana, hat and patch)

I'd buy a bandana and wear it like a mask because I hope this won't last forever and I want to have my neighbors when it ends.... I have carried bandanas for years prior to all this (fat kid problem) to wipe my brow.

I think this idea is something to revisit. Nice inlay, clean compression lock operation, a steel improvement from vg10, possibly in carbon fiber
