Re: it may be a little early, but...

I’d agree that the rockjumper is in need of some material variations. I’d be for your suggestion of that zome/dama configuration. But considering the knife’s work oriented design, I’d assume k390 is coming first. Although cladded hap40 would also be welcomed. This model is sticking around for a whil...

Re: Thee Most Practical Spyder Of All Time? Your Choice?

Oh I dunno it sorta depends. I’d say the native 5 salt but seeing as there’s no g10 model standard yet...The watu is my favorite everyday practical knife, since it’s got a super comfortable neutral handle, carries well, and cuts like a dream. but the blade is maybe a touch fragile. Whereas the carib...

This is why I love these forums so much. No other company goes out if their way to gain community input like spyderco does. Shows they care.

Re: Lc200N PM2 and Para 3

Yeah I beg for a pm2 in LC200N about once every 6 months, lol. I think the trouble is making the compression lock, liners, and all that completely corrosion free as well. But man...a PM2 LC200N in like seafoam green or something...pleaaase Absolutely for that seafoam green idea. And the caribbean h...

Re: DLT Trading Red/Black Zome Delica in 20CV

meh. Is it just me or is this sorta an uninteresting exclusive? It’s just sorta nothing particularly new or exciting.

If it’s to actually be an exclusive, a model in continuing production, then that’s neat I guess. More options are good.

Re: Backlock unlocking force measurements

Love seeing data like this show up here. These numbers seem about right for how they feel. Although they’re fairly close.

I wonder how much a wider bar would improve knives like the endura and chap.

Re: Lc200N PM2 and Para 3

It's certainly been covered. But not enough. I'd snatch up an lc200n para 3 in g10 or frn in an instant. As for pm2, I think the caribbean sorta covers that size range, but I suppose if the para 3 got a salt (at least the g10 model) then the pm2 would likely follow. Also for a laminate blade there's...

I wish they'd look into a more traditional styled multitool with a one hand opening Spyderco blade. If I could somehow have a Spyderco blade on a Victorinox Spirit I'd be all over it.
I think Sal has said they’ve looked into it a few times. Not sure if it went anywhere.

What other cutting tools would you like to see spyderco make?

Title says it all! I for one would love to see some simple Japanese style thread snips or kitchen shears. They’re both super useful tools, and I think giving them the spyderco treatment would make a few simple tools even better. Think of it, thread snips with removable hap40 blades, a copper body, a...

What a spectacular post. My career in “oh man I have to actually read today?” forum posts may be over :D I agree wholeheartedly with pretty much everything here. Although, I’d like to know your feelings on a few things: For many (or maybe just me) steel attributes are extremely important. At work I ...

Re: Ok, where's the pink Delica?

With the sage coming around recently I wouldn’t be surprised if it showed up in the next month or so. Especially since it’s a variation of a standard model.

Hopefully the smallfly and the maple chap will follow behind it.

Re: Sage 1 Cool Grey Maxamet

eh. Not really my thing. Although I like the model itself, I’m sorta hoping more of the sage series is in line for material upgrades. I’d snatch up an s90v sage 2 in an instant, in some funky anodization I assume.

Re: I need some pen suggestions

I also have a nice Tactile Turn bolt action pen, and I highly recommend the stainless steel version. It's without a doubt the smoothest pen mechanism I've ever touched. I was less pleased with their titanium version (the stainless steel pen is _heavy_ and I wanted something lighter), but it was sti...

Re: SRS-15 / SRS-13 ?

Any updates on this one? I’ve been having really good experiences with maintaining my R2 kitchen knives recently and would love to try it in a pocket knife.

Edit: plus I don’t have any cladded spydercos in my collection so this would be a good start.

Re: GB Air Return?

Wire clip (or at least the option for it, perhaps one that attaches to the liners themselves on the back of the handle?) and either micarta or stabilized wood would make this an instant buy for me. Love the concept, I’ve come close to nabbing one on the secondary market many times.
