Re: I let the Cat out, again

I went to some fancy wedding function for rich folks last night. I decided to take along my Cat as my dress up knife. It looks good with that black G10 and overall shape. The interesting thing is that even though the blade length is short, the cutting edge, the part that does the business, is only ...

but byrd does and so does spyderco. i am sorry i do not understand exactly the problem with using a different steel that spyderco uses and makes for one of their knives.

Re: Questionable tag lines & shiny footprints

i like most agree and try to, and yes it is sometimes difficult when sometimes we "feel" a certain way towards others is not always hostile just that if spyderco can make impressive knife after knife why should we let others muddy the water with sub-par knives and overpriced. but as always no hostil...

byrds in bd1

i loved the crow 2 in bd1. 100s times better than 8cr13mov. i bought one of the byrd robin 2s and was extremely dissapointed when i saw that the steel was really cheap 8cr, even tho the bigger ones like crow 2 have bd1 which is better. when are they releasing the robin in bd1, i would like to buy an...

Re: Warehouse knife

manix 2 lw or para 3 lw. back locks are a pain for gloves and not playful normally anyway. compression lock, or liner locks are easiest for gloves but the manix cbbl isnt too bad either.

Re: 20CV Lil Native

Who would be down for a Lil Native in 20CV? And on that note where is the 20CV in Spyderco's catalog? They made the DLT PM2 for $6.50 more than the S30V version, 20CV is super hot on the market right now and I can't get any from my favorite maker. :spyder: Please tell me which model you would like ...

Nope. Might want to send an email or two to BBS.

Nah, DLT Trading would be better...Red G10 scales with M390. They should do a DLC version as well. That would look sick against the Red.
i second that. More red and black hardware with satin blade and compression lock.

Re: You ever accidentally hide a knife from yourself only to happily find it later?

Same thing here. my family used to fly quite a bit for missionary work outside the US, so i would often have to leave my knife whatever i had in the car. well i forgot i even owned a few and just bought more and later on found them in various places in my vehicles.

Re: lil manix 2, if dreams came true

i agree with most of you. i really do. it is just a lock type issue, i hated their delica and df because of the backlock. if they offered the n5 in better lock types like they did the sage series and are doing with the lil native then the n5 easily could have a compression lock or cbbl. i just dont ...

Re: lil manix 2, if dreams came true

Thank you and yes, it is the lock that is holding me up. i play with my knives as you would a fidget spinner. As far as i feel, the backlock is not something i have ever liked, have to move my hand alot let alone the spring compression will bite if the blade does not open far enough. i would be inte...
