Re: Native Chief - Can we get a heartbeat?

Oh yeah! Mine just arrived. Barely had a couple minutes to play with it. First impression-- definitely lives up to my expectations. I will also make some more comments later. I really hope for an LC200N Salt version with G10 handles!

Re: Cruwear Micarta Native follow up to the Shaman??

I have been curious if we know anything about Spyderco currently working on linerless Micarta handled folders. I know they existed in earlier manufacturing generations, but currently I have only heard about it with the Shaman which has big ol' liners. Do we think Spyderco has the ability and inclin...

I would buy any Cruwear Native. Micarta would just make it better.
Crucarta Native might be the only Native that would entice me to buy another. I like my Native Salt that much.

Must have been the early 90's I remember seeing an orange handled rescue in an REI catalog.

Re: Congrats Spyderco!

Any chance we'll get to see pics of this? Or were photos not allowed in that area? No pics of the prototypes allowed but the knife looked really “right” with that blade shape. I am one who has requested this for years and it even exceeded my expectations. Some of the stretch purists will probably s...

Would be very hard to pass on an LC200N Salt variant if it were FFG and green/ satin or stonewashed finish.

Also looks like CC members are starting to get them. Keith Kevin Ken on YT just did a video in the past week.

Re: A plea to Spyderco:

I guess we could consider an Afi edge junky performance model? For the purpose of discussion only, what to you would be the ideal thin edge version? sal We already have a thinned out delica in the hap40 versions. So thanks much for that! I don’t know what the ideal thin edge version for me would be...

Personally I'd like to see them keep it G10 for the salt treatment.
I'm with you on this point. I know many people love their FRN handled knives, and I have two I really enjoy. I think they are fine and have plenty of advantages, but I mostly prefer G10.

Re: The backup that helps you sleep at night... ;)

I am similar to you, Wartstein, in that I try not to have too many knives and I like to use the ones I have. I will reluctantly admit that I do have one backup, NIB, knife in storage. Mine is a Spydiechef! The Chef was my first folding Spyderco and a favorite (my first Spyderco is a Santoku I've use...
