Re: Laminated Blade Steel

I really like laminated blades. Many of my Swedish and Norwegian blades are laminated, as well as an old favorite drawknife. As for folders, I only have two- Stretch 1 Hap40 and Stretch 2 V-Toku 2, both of which are awesome. In addition to the many other advantages, I really like how the stainless j...

Re: How about a CRUWEAR or Z-Wear Native 5?

Mine is a sleeper favorite. Love the linerless smooth G10 with Cruwear. Almost bought a spare. Would consider another CW N5. Patiently waiting for a Magnacut N5.

Re: Spydiechef lock bar rust?

I have two Chefs-- lockbar face is discolored on both. I think it is normal. Indeed titanium can not rust, but pretty sure it can corrode and is prone to galling under certain conditions.

ZDP Stretch 2. They've seemed rare-ish lately and I have not yet owned a Stretch model. As I have a good bit of K390 already I opted for the ZDP and older blade shape.
Nice! I've almost gone for that a few times. I prefer the older drop point shape. My V-Toku Stretch 2 is a favorite of mine.

Re: Is the CBBL dead???

I personally don't understand why among the Spyderco inveted locks the comp.lock gets used so much more than the CBBL. For me the latter has only advantages, except perhaps that choil-less folders are more tricky to design with the CBBL. Like a liner lock, the compression lock allows a “flow-throug...

Re: Is the CBBL dead???

I would buy a CBBL Shaman. I would too. I'm curious if the CBBL would fit into the current shape of the Shaman? I've come to appreciate the CBBL and BBL more than comp locks and almost as much as the mid and back lock. I have also previously suggested a CBBL Sage, which i still think would be cool.

Re: Blade 2021…best in show.

Thanx for the input, Appreciate. I had a chance to study the sample more closely and I guess Iied. :worried The ribs on the inside of the model was not a skeletonized steel liner. A closer look revealed they were FRN ribs. I thought it was lighter than it should be. (76.6 gms - 2.7 oz) So the model...

Re: Cruwear DF2 CF Additional screw added?

Curious.

I wonder if they couldn't reliably press fit the lanyard tube into the CF without damaging it and instead overbored and added a screw for compressive force on the scales.

Just a wild-ass guess. I'm curious tho.

I have exressed a strong interest in an LC200n Stretch 2 Salt with the drop point blade quite a few times. I am not really as interested in a straight spine variant.

Re: Giveaway!!!

My grandpa ( who had 4 pacemakers over a few decades) used to say:

'The key to longevity is to get a chronic condition early and then take care of it.'

Not sure that he was right, but it's an entertaining thought...

He lived to be 96 and a few months.
