Re: Bento Box Customer Service...

I agree with the others saying that the lock stick will likely sort itself out. When I got my Cruwear Shaman it had pretty bad lock stick but after playing with it like crazy its smooth as butter, no stick. I'd use it for a few weeks and see if it clears up. It's a breach of the agreement. If the it...

Nice! :spyder:
I had the same idea and made something similar on a couple of my Squareheads using leather!
I was actually just looking at you knives in the "whats in your pocket" thread! I do really like the Squarehead.

That’s an awesome idea and well executed! I’m just thinking of the conversation with the Mrs when you tell her you need to borrow the sewing machine for your knife!
Plot twist, the sewing machine is mine! ;)

Squarehead pull strap

Ever since I got the Squarehead and saw the 1” slot at the top I’ve been wanting to do something like this to make it easier to get out of the coin/5th pocket, and last night I finally got around to it. Pardon my off-center stitching, I have plenty of extra strap to try again if it bothers me that m...

Re: Delica 4 Glow-In-The-Dark FRN

In the knife world there seems to be an affinity for GITD stuff, but for the most part it doesn't appeal to me. In my mind, its likely not gonna be glowing in any instance you'd need it to, so its more for gimmick and aestetic appeal. The idea Sal mentioned they had for the Military to have tritium...

Re: Spyderedged Blades: A Total Mis-Understanding Maybe?

Combo edge makes more sense to me (I need plain edge for fine cutting sometimes), but I don’t doubt that full SE is more fun :D I’ll definitely get one one of these days. I'm planning on getting a combo Native LW for work because I do like serrations, but for things like stripping wire (the way I d...

Re: Military 2. What exactly is going on?

I'm not that passionate for or against liner locks, so the change to the Stop-Lock isn't a ground breaking revelation to me, but the fact Sal indicated a change in clip positions for the Military 2 really interests me.

Re: Quality Difference

This is all my personal experience. The Byrd line feels cheap to me and the fit and finish isn't nearly on par with anything with a spider on in. I've only had experience with the FRN models. Once you get to Spydercos value line however things certainly improve, the Tenacious is great and for your a...

Re: Spyderedged Blades: A Total Mis-Understanding Maybe?

At least in this forum theres been a bit of a rise in popularity in serrated blades due to the contributions and opinions of Evil D, Vivi, Surfingringo and Wartstein among others who have recently been raving about the benefits of carrying SE regularly. I myself have a Pacific Salt on the way and I ...

Re: What knives have made the change to BD1N?

There was talk in the past about the Polestar/Alcyone getting switched, but they aren’t as popular of models so I’m unsure they would get the switch. I recently became very interested in them though, so I hope they do see the switch.

Re: How to fix rounded tips?

When using the corners on the Sharpmaker I don't insert the rods so the corners are facing each other. I put them in so the flats are facing each other. Then I use the corner of the stone at about a 45°angle instead of 90°. Seems less likely to drag the top across the flats that way. That'll change...

Re: Hey Sal, any chance of a Vanax SC mule??

I'm surprised you went with that slick of a handle (traction wise) when you seemed to go for a no-holds-barred grip texture on the production model. That is absolutely gorgeous though. Marbled CF with blue liners is now on my top 10 favorite handles, and I'm just imagining a Capara with a blue backs...

Re: 4V Manix XL?

Man, wouldn't it be an awesome surprise if this ended up being a Micarta Manix XL with FFG 4V blade?? That would really cap off a great 2019! :) If a 4V Manix XL came this year my wife would kill me because I would be compelled to buy one! I’m hoping we see it mid next year, seeing the timeline of ...

Re: Paramilitary 2 Lightweight?

I'm really looking forward to it! I second the S110V with navy FRN! I wonder how everyone would feel about a non-lw version with a wire clip? Based on some other models they’ve put that clip on. I don’t see why it could hold a g10 pm2 or para 3 in my pocket. I wouldn't be for it. While I like the wi...

Due to my being impatient I went to the gym and made myself marginally stronger, no need for a LW now.
That actually made me laugh out loud! If it didn't clash with my love for Golden FRN I'd add that quote to my signature.

Re: What's going on with the forum lately?

I think the biggest testament to the general civility of this forum is the lack of bans that happen, and it’s not because the mods are lenient. The only other forum I participated in a lot was a firearm forum geared towards AKs. For one, getting banned at some point was almost a rite of passage, and...
