Re: Kapara

It really is about as close to perfection, as one can get! :) A real home run. I hope we'll see it in S90V, someday. For me, the part of the design that really sets it above so many. Is the ability for me to have my index finger, directly under the pivot pin. All while not taking away from any cutti...

Re: Shaman Rex45 Sprint - General Discussion & Support thread - (not alerts)

I received mine today, from the pics I've seen I was hoping it would be a match for the original Rex45 Sprint, like the Manix2 or Lil' Native are, but it's sorta in between the FRN and the first Sprint . . . https://i.imgur.com/CxFyZAe.jpg Thanks for this pic, JMM. :spyder: I see three clips, that ...

'Tis a great addition to the family... https://i.imgur.com/CNiU1sB.jpg :) A very nice lineup, JMM! Thank you for sharing this picture with us. :spyder: I just wish you would have backed the camera up some. The Cruwear/Micarta on the far-right. Got cut-off. We can't see it in this picture. :D

Re: My mind is ready, body is willing, and wallet is open.

Not that I think the Kapara needs a new steel. I do think that at this point in history though. It's almost tradition, to reward a very successful knife design, with an upgraded steel in later runs. For this knife, I say it's well deserved. While I have not seen any Sales numbers. I can easily imagi...

They were in stock at DLT, got it in the cart... no joy That happened to a friend of mine today, as well. Re: Glow In the Dark Manix 2 LW?

I am totally in. I love glow in the dark stuff. I am about to coat my garage floor and plan on adding some GITD blue flake into the mix! :) I think a neon yellow or green GITD FRCP with a DLC LC200N FFG blade would make for an AWESOME Manix LW Salt! Surfgringo has mentioned before how he would like...

Re: Manix 2 Lock Stick

I have at times (rarely), needed to take a drill bit, in a pin vise (General tools #93), and make the four screw holes, ever so slightly larger. Giving more room for things to better line-up, and have room for slight adjustment. If I remember correctly? Because it's been a while. Just before puttin...

Re: Ok, so the Kapara is really good. Better than I thought. Especially in M4!

The Kapara does need to live on, for a very long time! :)

With it having Carbon Fiber though, and a hint towards being a food prep centric knife, by it's designer. I have to vote for S90V, in the future for it. And I'm sure, that Spyderco has got pile of that lying around too! :spyder:

Thank you, RamZar! :) Did I just see Sal smiling, and have his tongue hanging out just a little bit? When he said: "No wonder we're tired." :p Well done Sal, and to all of the Spyderco gang! Some of us have been wondering, if the Manix 2 Rex 45 LW delay, may have something to do with the possibility...

Re: Maxamet and Patina. Should I acid wash?

I may be the odd Duck in this thread? But I say, don't let it patina in the first place (once you remove your second-hand spots). Unless a person is going for that 'look', but I have to question that decision as well. Why degrade (or let degrade) such a beautiful knife finish? I bought this knife, w...

I couldn't help but now notice, that you have both FRCP, and G-10 listed RamZar. :D
For the >

3. Manix2 Lightweight REX-45 FRCP G-10 C101PBORE2 Sprint Run (USA) :spyder:

And,
2. Manix2 Lightweight CPM-SPY27 Cobalt Blue FRN C101PCBL2 (USA) - Should read 'FRCP', correct?

Welcome to the forums, you philodendron slasher! :D JMM, has given a perfectly good answer. Bar-Keepers-Friend (In the store, kept near the Comet Cleaner) is a near miracle product. Flitz is good stuff too. I don't have a ZDP-189 Endura. I think it has a satin finish, right? Make sure that you do yo...

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive SMOCK!

Sweet scales Julia! I’m still debating what I’ll do on my incoming 4V model. I've been thinking about that, too. Not sure I'll keep the red. I might do a swap with the rex45 scales and have the burnt orange and dlc on the 4v, and red on the satin rex45. Copy cat :p That's the fun of having all thes...

Re: Does anyone make scales for the left handed pm2 that you can actually buy

Bladeswelove makes them. Check for him on Instagram, or go to https://bladeswelove.com/
He makes them for his PM2 Ultra. Which is a hybrid compression/button lock variation, and is built from the left handed model.
Just tell him you need a set, and that he can leave out the button hole for you! :D
