Re: Paramilitary 2 S110V “My first real Spyderco”

The Spyderco Tenacious for $39,99 really surprised me quality, and build of the knife. So, I thought a USA made Spyderco from Golden, Colorado wouldn’t be much better, if any at all. Besides steel difference anyways. Boy was I wrong.. ^^^ The G10 is totally different, screws, edge sharpening qualit...

Re: No sharpening November

I'll Take Part in this, I'm no stranger to giving a steel a one month run after sharpening. I will choose the Para3 in CPM 4V for this challenge. One question, can you strop the blade during this challenge? I was able to keep the Rex45 Para3 hair whittling sharp for almost a full month and only stro...

Re: Sharpening Serrated Military 440V

Thank you this does help, what do you recommend for a diamond compound? I have different micron pastes for the strops with my Wicked Edge Pro3 system but it seems that would get messy in a hurry. Are you recommending applying the Diamond compound to the brown rods for example on a sharpmaker? Any d...

Re: Buying my second Spyderco.

Really, what it comes down to is your preferred handle length, blade length, and steel type for your everyday tasks. still happy for you on your knife purchase. All I have to say is, keep your eye out for Shaman sprint runs.

Re: Sharpening Serrated Military 440V

add the DMT Diafold rod for serrated knives. plus an extra tip, since there are not many options for sharpening super high carbide serrated knives, you will have to coat the sharpening instruments with diamond compound to get optimal sharpening. keep an eye out for loading, as you will have to clean...

Staying tuned. So far I'm really liking my 4V Para3. Don't suppose you have any way of testing the hardness? I'm skeptical of St. Nick's claim of 62.5-64.
St. Nick's Knives based those hrc numbers off of the crucible datasheet
