Re: Your "return ethics"?

I'm surprised and glad to see that so many respect their retailers and the purchasing process. Those that abuse return policies probably aren't that many in numbers, but they do exist. For some reason these types upset me...

Keep up the integrity...

Re: Anyone else hoping for a BBS exclusive Military in k390?

As I mentioned early on .. not a big folder guy. BUT, if I was going to go there, I think it would be the Military. 2nd place would go to the Endura (does this one qualify as big folder), and third place would go to the Chief (does this qualify as a big folder), and fourth place would go to the Poli...

Re: Anyone else hoping for a BBS exclusive Military in k390?

Even if K390 was the very best steel in the world, lightyears ahead of all the others - which afaik is not the case - I'd never support the BBS BS business model. I don't get how anyone can be so ignorant. Sorry if this offends some of you, but I feel it needed to be said. Ignorance is a lack of kn...

Re: Bento Box Customer Service...

To put this in perspective... you get a very unique and special knife you don't really need (admitted to having many) ... needs a tweaking so it is too your liking ... can send it in to get it tweaked too your liking ... takes around 21 days. Only nowadays would people get distraught over this and f...

Re: Micarta Shaman 2nd Sprint Run

If it ends up being PD1 as many are speculating, then it's nearly identical to CPM Cruwear (like m390 vs 20cv). Slightly off-topic, one thing strikes me as a bit odd... I did look at some data on PD-1 being almost equal to Cru-Wear, but why isn't there more interest in that particular steel? When i...

Re: Bento Box Customer Service...

So.... I just got three knives in today from one of those retailers with generous/liberal return policies. Two of them are obviously other peoples returns/rejects. I really hate this game of pass the trash. I'm sticking with companies that weed the rejects out by having them sent back to the manufac...

Re: Micarta Shaman 2nd Sprint Run

I'm guessing it will be PD#1 Seems to make sense. This way it is the same (for those who wanted one but didn't get one) without it being the same (for those that got one and enjoy having something not so common). Also, probably enough of the same thing to where those that got one won't be intereste...

Re: Bento Box Customer Service...

Who is responsible for quality control? the manufacturer? the wholesaler/distributor? the retailer? the end user? The more you push the quality control; the more it pushes up prices ... and you are aware of how unfavorably current BBS pricing is received. Because it doesn't meet your quality control...

Re: Opinions Wanted: Top 5 Best Spydercos

1) Delica 4 M390
2) Delica 4 Cruwear
3) Delica 4 VG10 (maybe this deserves the #1 spot as I've used it for so much longer)
4) Delica 4 S30V
5) Delica 4 VG10 Damascus (mostly a looker and not a user)

Re: Upland game/Small game knife

As I prepare for squirrel season, this question has been on my mind too. When cleaning squirrel, I prefer a stainless steel blade that is roughly 3" long and very slender. For big game, I usually use a fixed blade; however, for small game, either fixed or folding is fine. I can make other knives wo...

Sage Backlock Micarta

Sage Backlock Micarta ... something you would be interested in? You complete the rest: color, steel, or ??? I would love to see this knife done in something other than wood, in something other than a metal handle, and something other than a metal bolster... So pretty wide open! Micarta, g10, frn, ca...

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

Just got home and checked mine out, it's a nice knife. Love the micarta and the contouring. As for the design, it's nice, but I don't see it competing with my Caribbean. The clip makes a bit of a hot spot in my palm also. I'll kick it around a little and decide whether or not it goes in the trade f...

Re: Upland game/Small game knife

I have been fishing since 5, small game hunting since grade 1, and big game hunting for around 3 decades. I am near 60 and have found (generally speaking) that I could clean anything with anything as long as it has a sharp edge. A favorite of mine was a ceramic blade boker about 2" in length that wa...

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

12 on the bay right now. Most sub $400. Looks like the price is working down - maybe supply, maybe the craze is backing off a degree or two.

Is there anyone out there that got this knife ... and didn't like it???

Lottery seems not to favor those who have the time to be glued to their computer all the time nor those that are willing to throw additional funds at it ... Also, if you enter once, or five times, with say a thousand people trying to get them; your chances are still less than 1%. Really starts to ta...
