FMS got the better of me!!

Just gave in to my "Fear of Missing Something" and ordered one of the remaining Spyderco Bushcraft knives that have recently been discontinued. YAY for me! :D BOO for my bank account! And per plan, the Caribbean was supposed to be my first knife of 2019. I've had black handle/brass hard...

Re: Lupe: Asking for advice / recommendations please

Wartstein, Went back and forth between the B&L and the Belomo. I'll give a thumbs up for the BelOMO 10x Triplet 21mm. Now have one. The last link I posted is a good/informative read. I can see my knife edges well enough to know what is going on. This is probably all I'm going to need. (Was particula...

Re: Lupe: Asking for advice / recommendations please
We Australian’s are great improvisers. Ah, hahaha! I use a little Photon mini light with my loupe which works exceptionally well and they also come in different colour lights. Mine is a white light model. :)
YAY!!! Another pic ... exactly what I was hoping for ... great ...

Re: Lupe: Asking for advice / recommendations please

Thanks for the pic ... would like to see more of this from people who have them and use them ... really helps to make it tangible. My internet findings on the jeweler's loupe - which is based on perspective of viewing gems and rocks (which I will use it for also) - keeps coming back to the Belomo 21...

Re: Lupe: Asking for advice / recommendations please

Always looking for ways to upgrade my tools and skills. So far this year I have yet to purchase a knife and have invested in a set of Wiha precision torx screwdrivers to replace my Home Depot Husky torx multi driver and have been looking to add a loupe to the mix as well. Was hoping Santa was going ...

Re: POLL: Possible new double blade folder: Would you like to see another version featuring a saw?

I voted "YES" - HOWEVER, I would like to see the saw with a little less aggressive tooth pattern than the wood saw blade you find on current offerings of knives and multi tools and folder saws. BONE SAW TOOTH to be precise - and I think the less aggressive tooth saw is more universal in what it can ...

Re: Red G10 20CV Manix 2 - DLT EXCLUSIVE

Wow..!!! Figured it would be around for a couple of days at the least - 7 minutes 16 seconds. OMG, that's about 2 of them every second. Holy c--p! I wasn't planning on buying one so it didn't matter to me but certainly enjoy being around the excitement and frenzy and seeing and hearing it all go dow...

Re: Hard truths and observations

Getting back to the #1 post and having spent some hours shopping online and experiencing some of the price increase that is occurring for 2019 got me wondering how some people are what appears to me to be irrationally over sensitive to small price increases and being rather arbitrary with their pric...

Re: POLL: More DLC low chromium steels?

Pelagic, I'm surprised that it is predominately an equal split of interest/disinterest. I prefer to read comments and hear reasons/preferences than to select among a few prescribed choices. Often it isn't just one overriding thing but multiple things that compound. I was hoping to get more insight o...

I think it may be the forerunner of the Delica 5!!! ... which would basically be the same Delica, but, USA made with BD1N blade and wire clip.

This will also open the door to more interesting delica exclusives and sprints than Zome, Hap 40, and V-toku2.

Re: POLL: More DLC low chromium steels?

I voted NO. ME: 1) I like the looks but not the extra expense, 2) I buy black blades for knives I intend to never use and keep around to look pretty, 3) I haven't had the need for a knife to be tactical stealthy as I am not military, ninja or mercenary! I prefer knife metals with inherent corrosion ...

Re: Hard truths and observations

The more I learn & get to know about these guys (Spyderco); the more I appreciate spending my money with them and owning their product. I am very amazed with where they have come from and where they have gotten to and how they do business (not just the end product)... and hope they can survive (thri...

Re: Which Spyderco fits you?

Delica 4 (frn handle) for my EDC pocket knife. Good choice of word. Fit (ergonomics & function) is going to be different for everyone since we all have different size/shape hand/bodies and uses; and not all being the same is what makes the world go round and why we have so many choices. In the world...

Always thought Spyderdco was an ugly knife ... know they are the favorite.
