How to best sharpen the SquareHead?

Hello all, So while I can use my SharpMaker to get most my Spydies sharp enough to easily shave arm hair, I am having a heck of a time getting the SquareHead even remotely sharp. I think the profile of the blade requires a different technique that I am unaware of. Can someone please advise? Thanks, ...

Re: Do You Like the Color of the 2015 Forum Knife?

Love the color, love the knife, love the deal!!!

I wasn't a fan of the purple forum native, and ended up trading my pair away. The 2015 forum native, however, has been a daily carry since I received it!

Thanks again to the Spyderco crew!

Ira

Re: Kahr Arms Delica.

The other advantage of the Kahr Arms Delica is that it's 2.5" blade length makes it legal in most major cities (can't speak for NYC through.) It's what I carry when heading into Boston, especially during the summer when a lighter knife is more preferable.

Re: how safe is Amazon to buy from

I've never been disappointed by Cultery Shoppe, Knife Works, New Graham, Grand Prairie, or Knife Center. Their prices are always within a couple of bucks from each other, though all have occasional super sales where I found some excellent deals. Jeff at Cutlery Shoppe hand picked some Spydies for me...

Squarehead daily wear, including gym and shower

Hello all, I've been wearing the Squarehead daily for about a week now. I'm temporarily using the chain from the ARK, which I got at the same time. I found this dog tag knife to be more comfortable than expected, given its sharpish corners. It tends to hang in placed without sliding on this chain, w...

Re: 2015 Forum Knife Announcement

I received my Forum Native today. I can't believe how much knife is in this little package! While close in size to the Delica, the hefty lockbar on this knife makes it lock open and close like the safe door to Fort Knox! The balance on this knife is just amazing, and I can't believe how lightweight ...

Squarehead neck chain?

Hello all, I'm looking for recommendations for a neck chain for the Squarehead dog tag folder. Any suggestions that would work well with its wide slot? I just received this knife today, and I appreciate its design! My only nit is that the pointed corners could be less pointy, especially if it will b...

I settled on large Spyderpac as well. After (too) much evaluation, I found that the Spyderpac offers the best combination of capacity, protection, accessibility and price. Additionally, it hangs on the back of my closet door, out of reach from my little kids.

Yea I would clean it and put a drop of lube/grease in there. The knives that use a detent bearing seem to grit up faster and from my experience 9/10 times it's just a bit of dirt. A drop of Tuff-Glide did the trick! It's amazing how much blade is tucked inside the handle. This is one impressive des...

Does the Yojimbo 2's lock have a floating ball?

Hello all! I just received a new Yojimbo 2 that was part of a recently manufactured batch. Out of the box, it had the smoothest action of any Spydie since my D2 Para. However later on, the opening action became noticeably rougher. I examined the opened lock with a magnifying glass and saw that the s...

I just received my Yojimbo 2 and I think it's the finest out-of-the-box Spydie I've held since the D2 Para, which has been my 'yardstick' for years. It is perfectly smooth, balanced and finished. I couldn't be happier with it!

Thanks Sal, Eric, Michael, and company!
