Re: Tip Up vs Tip Down Poll
Tip up and deep carry clips on most knives. I put custom micarta scales on my S110 Millie primarily because they allowed me to spec a tip up clip config.

Re: Is this the knife everyone clamors for?
Love my Manix back lock. Mine is from the last release and was ordered the first day of the release. The way that back lock engages is like no other back lock I own. I generally carry something lighter and longer, but when I need a stout folder the Manix back lock is what goes in my pocket. Never di...

Dang, I've never noticed how aggressive the fully serrated edge was on the Tenacious. Looks like a real beaver and I just might have to give it a try.

Re: Future for Centofante?
Yeah, I painted with a pretty broad brush there Sal, sorry for that. The Centofante just doesn't seem to get much attention on these requests. It was one of my first Spydies and I just keep hoping that we might see another run on the 4 one day, or even a new steel. In the meantime I'll just keep enj...

My K390 Stretch makes me wonder why I would even need most of my other knives. It just excels at almost everything.

Re: A Deeper Investigation into Spyderco Diamond vs cBN: Which is better?! Why!?
A little more anecdotal evidence here. I used diamond rods on my Sharpmaker initially, but I was pretty heavy-handed with them due to inexperience. By the time I started using a lighter touch they were pretty well worn. I picked up CBN rods a couple of years ago and my touch is a lot lighter these d...

I endorse this and would love a re-release of the Centofante 4. Hope is a beautiful thing, but I fear that despair is all we will get. These requests never get addressed and always fizzle out. Pity...

Looking forward to the G10 UKPK in Spy27. I currently have 3 FRNs and no Spy27, so 'check' and 'check'.

Re: Still wishing for a Chaparral XL / Endela "thin edition" / or something along that lines
I've always felt that the Endela should have been introduced with the thin blade stock of the Delica from the get-go. I'd love to see this idea get some traction.

Re: Community Sharpening Journal
Hey Vivi, I dig a sharp shovel (literally). That one looks almost too pretty to use. Also wanted to mention that I've been using the coarse Idahone triangle rods for over a year now, typically as a progression between Sharpmaker CBN and Brown rods. They seem most useful if I'm thinning out a serrate...

Re: What do you want to see at Shot Show 2024?
I'd like to see a mid-size handle-forward design with little or no thumb ramp and 2.5mm blade stock. Also some refinement in the Seki FRN models pivot design. I have too many that are problematic to set the tension on effectively. Either set it so tight that it becomes difficult to open, or set it l...

Re: The Delica Wharncliffe is the greatest work knife ever made.
It's taken me a while but I'm really enjoying my Delica/Salt 2 knives. I recently picked up the K390 Wharnie and just ordered an H2 SE Wharnie. I've got XL size hands but have no problem with these designs for light use, which is where I think they excel.
