Nothing cuts through rope and rubber like a Spyderedge. I'd be lost without that option.

OK picture this, reach into your pocket and be greeted by a razor sharp point and shaving sharp edge running into your thumb web and fingers. yeah tip down is the way to go. People who say the above doesn't happen haven't carried a knife long enough. When you are right-handed, tip-up butts the blad...

Sal and company, Thank you for this effort and for the dialogue with us, your customers. In my opinion, bush craft knives are more than just a British sport. Look up Mors Kochanski, who teaches northern survival at the University of Alberta in Canada. He recommends exactly this design of knife as th...

TazKristi: It's all good! I'm glad that they sold so fast in spite of being bummed that I didn't get one. So much nicer than us clamouring for things that don't sell!

Bummer. Checked in after a month or two away and found out I'm a day late. :(

Maybe some of the orders will fall through and I'll get a second chance.

I think Sal's got a good point. Whenever I needed the serrations, it was for biting into something challenging like thick rope or PU tubing. I need the bite at the base of the blade. I can choke up for finer work.

...tip up, blade spine against pants seam. Only reason is for comfort. In tip down configuration and blade facing towards my body, the thumb choil jimping roughs up my right hand too much everytime I reach into my pocket for keys, coins, etc.. Carrying tip up solves the problem. ^^^This. It's nicer...

Les Stroud (Survivorman) says when getting a lighter for emergency use get the most garish orange color you can so you can find it easily if dropped. I think it was just a matter of time before outdoorsman, fisherman etc. started requesting bright handled knives, and once they get used to the funct...

Wegner: any thoughts?

I have a few of them and like them a lot. Very ergonomic. What's your take on them? Were there many of them made?

My conclusion is, this is a hard working knife. Call it a “gent’s knife” if you will, but it just keeps on cutting in a harsh environment. I think this real-world test of endurance should help put to rest its undeserved reputation as a potentially fragile knife. It's more of a mini-mini-Manix, in m...

When cutting dirty rope or bull hose my experience was opposite. The SE cut much more easilly where the PE didn't get much purchase to bite through.
