Great report. How many manufacturers explain "why" they did something? Not very many.

I love the Military models. Playing catch-up IMO is the Para and it may eventually overtake it.

Currently, I find my Chinook in my pocket more than anything else.

PE Military has become my all time favorite.

Just added a Chinook II to my group yesterday. Way past the 5th, but my next addition is going to be a Lil Temperance.

My everyday gear is a Chinook II and a Sig P225, depending on the situation, sometimes backed up by a full sized Military and an NAA Guardian.

Good thread. I just picked up a Military and have been considering a Chinook for some time. Think I better have one.

Stainless Police and a G10 Military.

Recently picked up a Buck Nighthawk on a whim at a Wally World Store and it has turned out to be a real sleeper. It's a user knife, like the blade shape and the ergonomics are outstanding.

I currently have on a G2300B and have two more at home. I find them to be much like Spyderco Knives. Excellent worksmanship and materials for a bargain price, and both are extremely tough.

Thanks for the info Grant. I always assumed that they were stainless and were the low end in the Spyderco line. I hadn't really paid much attention to them until this one popped up. Found them at the Knife Center of the Internet and they showed a price of $75, which for me is certainly not low end. ...

Hmmmmm.....Spyderco Forum......Spydernuts.......yet no replies and no one seems to know anytning about a Standard model. Guess I'll hang on to it for a while.

Have several CRKT knives. Step down from Spyderco, but still good quality for the money.

Jeff, I just picked up my non serrated Police model yesterday. I also picked up a stainless Pro-venator at the same time. Had a Police years ago and let it slip away. Not going to happen this time around. There is just something about the heft and balance of this knife that just makes it feel a litt...
