I'd really like to see the all stainless Kiwi brought back with that treatment. For that matter, etched bolsters might set off certain scale materials well on a bolster and scales version. Think the Lava would also look great etched, would make it look more like its namesake. I agree that the Kiwi ...

Well brother I'm glad you got exceptionally good deals on 2 of the models in question. However I seriously doubt if you could do that on a consistent basis given what dealers that still have some of them around are getting for them, What they are currently selling for in forums, Ebay and other sour...

If we are talking about the compression lock..... Ti if you are going to be able to do an integral compression lock. Otherwise, G10 or CF, either works for me, although I would always take CF over G10 solely on appearance reasons. CF is easier to clean gunk out of over the Spyderco G10 texture (espe...

In addition to the object to object comparison, one truly has to understand the kind of customer service offered by Chris Reeve knives. No one on the planet that I am aware of can handle the volume of refurbishment with the individual customer service that CRK does, on a very personal level as quick...

The ATR has a big, thick, honkin' blade with a deep hollow sabre grind. The stretch has a thinner, flat ground blade perfect for slicing and cutting. For regular use, keep the steriods in your gun and get the slicer (Stretch) for your pocket. You might want to consider the clip as well. The ATR has ...

Like most major makers, Spyderco relies on a distribution network. So that the distributors can make money, Spyderco sells them the knife at let's say 1/3rd of the MSRP. The distributors sell them to dealers for about 55% of MSRP depending on circumstances. So the trick is finding a way to sell the ...

My post was intended to address the hyperbole expressed in the quoted post by JD Spydo. I don't come onto the Spyderco forum too much any more in part become so many of the posts are self-referential. Now and then, when I do check in, I find a post like that one that are just too annoying to overloo...

I don't know how much of a market there would be, but if Spyderco could make a version of Wilkins knife, I would definitely get one. The affordable version would have FRN handles and a ball lock. The less affordable version would have CF Peel Ply handles and a ball lock. Either way, it needs to have...
