I got it because of the price and looks....carried it a couple weeks and enjoyed it... BUT got tired of having to use two hands to open it. If I was somewhere that I could not have a one-handed opening knife...this would be the cats meow.

I had vertical blade play in my SB Caly...sent it in as well and while still considered "safe" the play was considered excessive and I opted to have it replaced with the Caly ZDP 189. I like the Caly ZDP 189, but not as much as the Caly 3.5 Super Blue. Thems the breaks I suppose... I am sa...

There is no question that the copyright has expired. The issue in question is trademark, a completely different legal issue. The patent covered any kind of hole in the blade. The trademark issue concerns only the round hole. I'm no lawyer...copyright is for written material??? But agree with the tr...

So apparently patents are good for 20 years...who knew? I didn't...anyway I like the flipper. Don't know about all of you but I am getting a back log of Spydies that I want.

First ever Spydie that went back for blade play :( ... Customer service told me it was safe and they would send it back, but that the play was excessive and they could give me a credit for it since they had no more in stock to replace it with. I went with the Caly ZDP-189 CF...dissapointed in losing...

Your not really comparing apples to apples... You have different materials, locks, one is a collaboration, = the difference in price. I have the Leafstorm and its a nice unique little blade...never had the biting issue mentioned above. I suppose it all depends on your taste. I bet there are alot oth...

don't remember what airport it was, but maybe a year ago I went through the magnetometer without a hitch...realized before boarding that my leaf storm was still in my pocket...clipped and everything...no harm no foul...remembered to check it with my luggage on the way back.
