A few months back I won a Centofante III for a great price on an online auction. Like you, I was looking for a knife between the sizes of the Delica and Endura. I LOVE the looks of the Cento III and that cool silver spydie, and the thinner blade, to me, is a blessing. HOWEVER, even after all my droo...

Question about my NOS Police

Recently picked up an older serrated Police via an online auction. Mint condition. Great knife. Has a red box and the tang says just "SPYDERCO" on one side and "SEKI-JAPAN" on the other side. Can anyone tell me what steel the blade is? What about when the knife was made? Thanks i...

I just looked at the Botach site. The shipping cost would double the price of a Photon II. It still wasn't a terrible price, and Photons are great, but that sort of pricing scheme (basically a bait-and-switch where, at first glance an item costs X, but once it's ordered it costs X+X) really ticks me...

As native Floridian, born to a native Floridian father, who in turn was born to a mother who'd moved down here from Indiana in 1908 (**** snowbird!), I concur. Florida has indeed come to suck. And it will continue sucking until the invading locusts (i.e. complaining Yankees) who have swarmed here in...

I prefer PE because the vast majority of my knife use is just good old normal pocketknife stuff: scraping, scratching, fiddling, slicing, poking, carving, etc. And for that, I prefer the versatility of a plain edge. I can't remember EVER having to hack through a rope or seatbelt or netting, or needi...

samo: If you're a wine drinker, look for the new wine, which I believe should be out now, called "burcak" (boor-chaak). If it's out now, they'll be selling it in the wine bars, or "vinarnas." The Moravians are great wine producers and drinkers and cutting up some cheese and salam...

Hope you get a chance to see Prague. I'm sure they'll be busy cleaning up from all those floods but it's still the most beautiful city in the world and where I learned about Spydercos too! I like the shape of the Goddard but found mine too darn big ... I traded it for an Endura and never regretted it. I don't own one, but I really like the utilitarian looks of the Pro Grip Lightweight.
