Thanks for the photos and feedback. In regards to the differences in appearance.
To my understanding, in the manufacturing process it is difficult to guarantee an even distribution of color and glow during liquid state. They want to settle. The completed sheets also vary in thickness from one sheet ...

We’re able to offer the S30V blade steel at no additional manufacturing costs. We have perfected our processes with S30V to the point where we can make the switch. Though there is a raw material increase from S30V to 154CM, our processing costs differ. Win/Win for everyone

The orange is still a few months out. We’re planning plain edge on both Sprints. The second run will be Carbon Fiber but most likely won’t come until late 2012 and will be the same number of pieces. We did update our engineering for better quality and consistency. Some changes included a blind pin ...

We’ll be shipping S90V Carbon Fiber in the next few weeks. The standard S30V will begin shipping again a few weeks after the sprint.
The schedule was tight and we’re a little delayed, but thanks for the patience.

Thank you for the feedback.

We are now looking at refining the disengagement, it will take time but we’re looking at it.

Btw, I usually close mine by pressing the tab with my thumb and dropping the finger choil to my forefinger. Then 180 turn and close. (Similar technique as the Back Lock)

The Spin was designed for my wife. She has very little pockets or no pockets at all. She needed a clip, one hand opening, light, easy to clean, thin knife for small cutting jobs. I made a stainless ladybug with a tip down spin clip she sometimes likes as well.
