Knife travel in Mexico....

Hi gang, My wife and I will soon be leaving from El Paso on a escorted bus trip down into Mexico to the Copper Canyon area and then back to the States. Does anyone know if a Delica or Endura is permitted down there? (I feel almost naked without my Spyderco!) I know handguns are a definate no-no, but...

IRELAND - legal blade length?

Hi gang, My wife and I will be visiting Ireland on vacation next week. We both normally carry pocket knives every day here in the States, a Delica and a Endura, both serrated blade. Will this be legal in Ireland? I'd hate to be without my Spydie! Also, do most pubs accept credit cards? (I imagine mo...

Gun/Knife Travel in California.........

Hi gang, My wife and I will be vacationing in California soon. I know that I can't carry concealed (firearm) like I do in my home state of Florida. But what are my other options, in what I have heard is a VERY gun-unfriendly State?....Folding knife, pepper spray, etc? (I have both a Endura and Delic...

Traveling to England....need help.

Hi gang, My wife and I are going to Great Britain next week on vacation. I know I can't carry my usual concealed pistol like I do in my home State of Florida. But what about folding knives or pepper spray? I have both an Endura and a Delica to choose from. I know either one would have to be placed i...

new 204 sleeves

Hi gang, With Christmas coming, wife is asking for gift ideas. I want to get a 204 sharpener, but can't remember when Sal said the diamond sleeves will be available. Also can't remember if they will come with the set or if they must be purchased as an assessory. A little help....Sal or others? Thank...

Knives on airplanes

Hi gang, Yesterday my wife (a travel agent) started getting faxes from the major airlines indicating that from this point forward, NO knives or cutting tools of ANY size or length would be permitted on commercial airlines unless they were in checked baggage. Thought you might like to know this. Look...

Question for Sal.......

Just two quick questions for Sal --

When will the diamond Sharpmaker be available?

How much more (retail) will it cost over the existing ceramic?

Thanks!

Question about 204 Sharpmaker.....

Hi gang, I'm thinking about buying a 204 Sharpmaker but I have a question or two. In looking at the current Spyderco dealer catalog, I see where the ceramic stones are tri-angle shaped. I can see where you use the flat surface for sharpening plain edges, but what about serrated edges? The catalog sa...

My daily carry choice is the plain-old FRN Endura w/fully serrated blade.

Why? Cause it's light, flat, strong, sharp as the dickens and didn't cost an arm and a leg to purchase.

Need sharpener advice..........

Hi gang, I'm a fairly new poster and I need some advice -- I need to buy a sharpening system for my 2 Spydercos (Endura and Delica, both fully serrated) and various kitchen knives, etc. Any thoughts about the Sharpmaker 204? Money is fairly tight at my household, so I need to make a good decision. A...

Question for Sal and/or others........

Hi gang, Just bought a fully serrated 2001 model Endura for back-up to my concealed handgun. Really love it as it packs about as much blade as possible into the lightest/flattest package around. But I do have a question.... My work environment is office/professional, so I must pay very close attenti...

Thanks for the prompt reply.

2001 model changes..........

Hi gang, I plan on buying an Endura at an upcoming gun show this weekend. I've heard that Spyderco made several small changes to this knife for the 2001 model year. 1. Slightly stronger tip (removed the last two small serrations nearest the tip). 2. Curved-out lock release. (Anyone know the purpose ...

Help with defense knife purchase.......

Hi gang, Made my first posting yesterday and was disappointed with the small response. Maybe I labeled it wrong (uninteresting!), but I really need your help. It's about 27 posts from the top, called "Question about the Endura...". Would some of you experienced "old hands" please...

Question about the Endura......

Hi gang, (I'm a first time poster, so go easy on me if I mess up or do something wrong.) First, some background information..... I have recently made the decision to carry a (knife) back-up to my concealed carry handgun and I am considering buying the Endura. If I buy one, it will live in my weak si...
