I've only got two of the new boxes, both packed only in a bubble-envelope, sent from the US and both arrived in perfect condition, so I can't complain about that. The new boxes are very 'cheap' looking though!

I do quite like the foil Spyder, and I've no complaints about the typeface... but the ...

To Whom It May Concern:

I just received a new knife, a UKPK. Upon receiving the knife I looked and saw that the knife is made in the USA. I am very disappointed in your support for the USA. Why do you support America and make your knives here? Do you enjoy supporting "collateral damage ...

I don't know how the Tenacious stacks up against the Caly Jr (I'm guessing they're around the same size) or the P-Mil, but they'd what I'd be carrying if I could carry anything.

Just got a UKPK; my first wire-clip, and I prefer it to the "regular" clips. What is it about wire-clips people dislike?

I believe Mr. Janich is far from "An Idiot". I have several of his MBC DVDs and his CBC DVD. He is in fact one of the best instructors I've seen.

He teaches a lot of "Reality Based" Self Defense Classes and what I understand is one of the best out there and is Very Well Respected In His Field ...

Never seen that or the clips in their original context before... but I do find taking a pen out of your pocket and throwing it before drawing the pistol a bit of a waste of time :p .

And why a tyre-iron? I'm sure a screwdriver is more common and lends itself to throwing more?

Forgive me, but I ...

The pic is of one of the older generation Delicas; Spyderco don't currently offer that colour on any knife as far as I'm aware.

The Bob Terzuola slip-it (it used a different technology than the UKPK/Urban), was a concept model, so it might change a bit or a lot, we don't know yet. Still, the concept model that was shown at meets and the IWA show was on or slightly under three inches, a nice slim blade too.

Thanks ...

New Bob Terzuola "Slippit"

Can anyone in the know give a blade length for this? My memory is fading; I just remember I really liked it.

Req: Dirty, Beaten and Bruised

I think the more interesting pieces in peoples collections are the ones with a few battle scars.

How's yours look, and does it have a story behind it?

Kershaw has actually been owned by Kai since 1979. They make knives in the US, Japan as well as Taiwan .

Kai has been a well known Japanese manufactorer since 1908.

The only one I have (the Echo) was made in China.

I think if you have a preferential country of origin you need to check out each ...

Most Surprising/Disappointing Spydie?

You'd seen the picture online, loved it, went down to your local knife shop/bought it online, handled it and... hated it*.

Or perhaps you had something stopping you from buying a knife, but then handled it anyway and just had to buy it?

I'm sure most people must be able to relate to at least one ...

I've been drawn to bright colours in the past, but recently I've been wanting something in a "denim" blue colour.

I don't think black/stainless steel handles will ever be replaced as "the norm", but pinks/blues/oranges/greens are a good change.

Excellent to hear there are a few "Slipits" in Spyderco's future... not as nice as hearing we're allowed to carry locking knives, but it's a good consolation :)

I have the L1D Q5, and although I can't compare with any others, I think the balance of size, cost, runtime, quality & output is as close to perfect as you can get.

You can get cheaper, higher quality, longer lasting, brighter, and smaller lights; but not all in one package.
