I recall many years ago Skeeter Vaughn told the story in a knife magazine. I believe he was a Mocassin ranger during WWII. Here is all I could find. http://users.rcn.com/comlogic/knife/history/skeeter/skeeter.htm If I recall correctly from Vaughn's interview the knife hit the sentry in the back some...

If you think the French guy is a great designer, just look at the PPT, and then look at the David Mosier Trigonaut. Not a good job Spyderco in supporting a French thief. I bought the knife anyway because I love the MOSIER design, but come on Perrin, get real!!!!!!!!! Know your facts before coming h...

Thanks for the replies guys! I am really digging this knife. My main EDC for the past couple of years has been a large Sebenza. Couldn't get away from it, nothing else was even close, imo. Since receiving the Para 2, I put the Sebenza away and so far I don't feel like I am missing out on something. ...

what is it about the original paramilitary you didn't like? I just bought one today as well as the gray sprint para2. Both are my first paramiltary. Just curious. The tipdown carry was the main drawback, I also disliked the sharp angle protruding at the end of the blade when in the closed position....

Para 2
JUst got my first Paramilitary. Something always kept me from buying one of the older models but the II has the features that I wanted. I must say it is my favorite Spyderco to date (and the Kiwi).

To each his own..... I have an older BG-42 Lg user that I would not trade for anything. And still compare it to everything. ;) Cant think of too many that match its soul... :D Its a simple masterpiece IMO. A machined marvel, with a killer blade/grind. Sharp as heck, and stays sharp. Not flashy, or ...
