to be honest my Dfly in Aus8 isn't that bad expecially after having jimped the thumb's and index's rests ( http://www.spyderco.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=12411&d=1236036374 ) and I don't feel as a steel-snob, but the H1 novelty tempted me, in the Pe form, just because (as per my nick...

Hi DRKBC, no I was not aware about the saver. As You wrote would be a good alternative but has two cons for me. Jimping, where is the matter? It takes ten minutes, 5 on the dremel and 5 on a diamond file just to smothe everything up. Some time I found in my kitchen bread that seems much harder than this steel. :)

Ps: I wish I was on cellphone camera as enaght as on the file

graphite is very effective in lubing, I use it on my motorbikes cables just to avoid the jam of oil and pollution. But is difficoult to have it penetrating if the knife if it is pinned. No matter if you can disassemle it.

The good news for those who prefer the construction of the Delica III is that it lives on, in the form of the Salt I. Aside from the slightly rounded tip and larger Spyderhole, it's pretty much a dead ringer for the D3. It is also totally rust proof. which might be an advantage for backpacking. I c...
