I would agree with Clockwork about being too expensive, just my opinion... Price point, or price point perception is a very strange thing, I think that $200 is too expensive for the Superhawk, but if I saw one at $150, I would probably jump on it. Now I also think (for me) that $150 is too much for ...

Lol, sorry, I didn't mean that there is some huge problem with having the magnet in the same pocket as cell phones and credit cards, I should've used one of these emotes  sorry. I believe Spyderco does include a warning with the knife about this, but I am sure it is for someone who is purp...

A stronger magnet will also affect things stronger, like credit cards and such. I am waiting for my T-Mag (today hopefully), so I don't know how to take the warning it comes with, but adding a stronger magnet would make that warning more applicable!! And, I am wondering about the magnet attracting s...

Sharpmaker Rods

A question for all of you sharpening experts... I have all of the sharpmaker rods (diamonds, med, fine, uf), and I want to sharpen my Para to 30 degrees, with a 40 degree micro bevel. Should I run through ALL of the rods at 30 degrees, then switch to 40 degrees and run through them all again?? Or, c...

Of course the best answer is to get both, but I know you said only 1 right now. I would go with SE with the FRN handle, then when you are so unbelievably happy with that (you will be), and want to get a PE, go for the etched SS handled one!!!! :D :D

An H1 Mariner is my edc field knife. I find it very easy to sharpen, and I like the heft with a slim profile. I still need to do some texturing or beadblasting to the handle so that it is not so slippery.

I would LOVE to see a Spydie with a Full Hollow Grind...

I voted against the saber chisel, I don't hate it, but out of the lot, it is probably at the bottom for me.

Closest knife to a Manix in terms of heft and weight, in my opinion is the Chinook 3. Different blade shape, but I have used my Chinook for the same sorts of tasks as my FG Manix.

I would grab a Spyderco Marlinspike knife in a heartbeat!! I have been looking at these from David Boye:
http://boyeknives.com/folders.cfm
they're made from Cobalt, with a spike that flips out at the back. A Spyderco H-1 version (a different design) would be awesome.

Just got my Barong, I am very impressed. It feels very nice in hand, and the angle of the blade seems very "user friendly". I don't relly mind the portion of the blade that isn't sharpened, but another 1/4 inch of sharpened edge would be nice, and I think still give some room for you to ch...

The SS Dragonfly (why I posted this way back when) is still very tight. It has loosened some, but no where near the way my Lava, Adventura and SS Police have. I don't find it a draw back whatsoever, I was wondering before if anyone had a way of adjusting SS (pinned knives). Give it some use, I think...

Serrated Plain Edge

Does anyone know if Spyderco W & R can grind 1/2 of my PE Atlantic Salt to SE ??? I would love to have this knife with 1/2 the blade serrated... I would pay a $20 regrind fee, but just not sure if this is possible...
