I've looked at those but don't like what's his name's symbol on the scales. Not a hot idea to have a grinning skull on a carry knife.

Nice review

I used a regular old Endura to shove back the bolt on an AR with a triple feed when the bolt couldn't be manually moved by hand or with a spent case etc. Worked fine for a purpose it certainly was not designed for and was a lot faster to deploy than a Extrema Ratio 185 RAO.

Personally if I was ...

Fire at Crucible Steel-hopefully not that bad

Hopefully everyone is okay and it's no big deal. Poor Crucible seems to have one problem after another lately. :(

Thanks Sal. I e-mailed Halpern Titanium and got a very professional e-mail back within a few minutes. I am definitely going to order some scales from them. They look like a great find.

They are dropping the entire H1 line? that's too bad :(

Great explanation of the h1. I wondered why the serrated ones were so sharp, can't even use them to cut vegetables as they tear into the cutting board and are hard to use quickly

It does seem like focusing on knives, instead of trinkets and trash, is the right emphasis for such a relatively small company. It would be nice to at least maybe have one new T shirt every year?

Sal seems to be a good sport :)

Three Little Indians in Little Italy has a few spydercos listed, although it is mostly more expensive, custom, knives. The hours listed on his website are wrong. I stopped by and they said he comes in much later than that. I did e-mail him and he e-mailed (or called, I forget) back and said he would ...

I haven't been to a Magpul class yet but it looks like a good pretty standard carbine course, who is teaching your sniper class? I went to one with Giles Stock a few years ago and think I even managed to confuse him with all the problems I was having. :P

Only one guy in my class had a semi auto, a ...

No lock, no onehand opening better and VERY low profile..

But you better check with Swiss officials for that.
There's a pamphlet the Swiss put out on the first page of this thread that states otherwise.

I used my zdp-189 delica pretty much exclusively for maybe 8 months, including cutting meat and vegetables at times. I never really had a permanent staining problem. However I did recently carry it so that it was was against my skin for maybe a day and the part of the closed blade that was in ...

H1: how long sharp, how to sharpen?

I just got a serrated Pacific Salt in the mail from Cutlery Shoppe (first time I used them, they seem pretty cool). How long with it stay sharp, say compared to a regular Endura? Is there any secret to sharpening H1?

I had one knife from 1986 until about 2003, a little Gerber bolt action.

My dad got by with an Agway pocket knife he got when he ran a feed mill in the 50s and an old hickory butcher knife from when he was in graduate school right after he got out of the Army in 1945 (had to butcher animals for ...
