I have a BRK Native that I bought after Sal posted what you read below for $19 it is a fine knife. My only problem is with the clip it had some sharp edges...but that is what sand paper is for. I don't feel bad but I knew what I was getting from the begining.

If the only difference on the proto is the handle material I, maybe naively, would tend to think that making a “sprint run” with just that change wouldn’t be that long of a process. Machine the magnesium to the same shape as the G-10 and slap it on instead?

I just used my navigator at penn station in N.Y. to cut the "peperroni rolls" before I got on the train, did the job just right, nice and small not to draw attention.

Thanks Zrexxer,

I was thinking about the same thing. I had a Old Timer Golden Spike that I think was 1086 and it would rust up quite eazily.

I lived in Austin between 1991-1996 I really loved it. Hope to get back some day.

Blade Steels

I have an idea for a steak knife set and was wondering if anybody knew what would be the easiest steel to work with to (hopefully) make a knife from it. So far it seams like the high carbon steels (1084 & 5160) are pretty inexpensive while 440C is about 5 times as much I tend to think I would ra...

Magnesium Handled Military Date?

Does anybody know when this might come out? I always wanted one with a titanium handle but magnesium will do fine.

I played with the Canon 1Ds, 11 megapixals, at the store but for $8000.00 it is a wee out of my price range. I'm looking to get a Canon 10D in the next few months and that will be my swicth to full digital. I still use the EOS-5 body and love it. And for little stuff the I find my digital elph to be...

I think the guy wasn't so good the scraches are from use but they look 100x worse in this scan than they do in real life. The blade is only a 1/16" at the widest part. It is really easy to keep the angle consitant, just keep your hand strait up and down, perpendicular to the suface that the 204...

I had a guy demo one for me and it might be fine for large kitchen knives but it can't sharpen the last 1/8" - 3/16" of blade and if your blade (delica, navigator etc) isn't that long you what all the edge that it has. The 120 took off a lot of steel I had him sharpen my victorinox and you...
