Well my Blue M390 PM2 arrived yesterday. That thing is a beaut. Out of the box sharpness is not as good as my CTS-20CP PM2, but still sharp enough to shave arm hair. The pivot was a little tight but no big deal to adjust. Blade is centered pretty much perfectly but the edge is not perfectly symmetri...

Yeah, it isn't a 100% perfect fit now, but close enough.

That hardly counts as Delica abuse man. This is Delica abuse: http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/n558/TBombAgs06/photo-1.jpg My wife somehow managed to do that while putting together some new bar stools we got for our house. They had the hardware in a small cardboard box underneath the seat, which ...

I have the Stretch II in ZDP-189 with CF scales and I really like it. It is a thinner knife, but the blade is fairly long, so I have to be fairly conscientious when opening it in public. It's a nice knife if you can find one anywhere these days.

Yeah...I guess I will have to be content with my gray CTS-20CP PM2 for a while longer :)

The blue is sure to lessen the shock to no knife people. I currently have a black on black PM2 and that thing looks kinda sinister. :D
When did you order, just out of curiosity :) I'm impatient, but I didn't order very long ago either...

I paid $182 shipped for mine brand new back in 2007 when they first came out, so I'd say you're doing alright for a NIB knife that is discontinued.

They are both awesome knives. The Manix 2 is definitely a heavier, bulkier knife, but it feels very confidence inspiring in my hand. I wouldn't carry it around every day, but it will be the first knife I go to when I head to the woods. The PM 2 is a great knife as well. Much lighter and fits in the ...

Good choice with the Para 2. I have an original Para that I used all the time and it still holds a special place in my collection, but I just picked up one of the new sprint run Para 2's with the grey G10 and CTS20-CP and it is pretty freaking sweet. I didn't think the Para could get any better but ...

As far as I know, Spyderco doesn't replace blades. They would be the only ones who could provide just a blade. I would say just go ahead and buy the new knife complete, unless there is just something about the handle on the knife you have now that you can't live without.

You can judge what to do about the injury. I commend you on not getting any blood on your carving project. You will heal and it sounds like you know that from experience :D like most of us. I think Spyderco should include one bandaid with each knife as a joke. :D I think it would be a first. Jack A...

:spyder: I'd always take vg-10 over zdp-189. I find zdp to be over hyped and irritating to resharpen. I'll take s30v over anything. :spyder: Hey thanks for the input, but if you didn't notice my (I'm the original poster) post above yours, I already made my decision. I just got my Stretch II CF/ZDP and I have to say it is the sharpest knife I have ever owned.
