Re: Spyderco Groom carry suggestions

Thank you all! Some great suggestions, Chap having most votes, very classy Delica I have in my collection received some approval as well (love that knife and find her extremely elegant). My lady will have her beloved Cricket in SE. I offered Pink Squeak as she doesn`t carry larger blades but Cricket...

Re: Spyderco Groom carry suggestions

Hi Folks, in less than a month I will marry love of my life First and foremost: Congrats and I wish you two all the best and a good life together! / To your question: Another vote for the Chaparral , ideally one of the "even nicer" models, like the maple or raffir noble. Classy, very slim...

For a gent's folder, the maple Chap is ideal.
Congrats!
Chap crossed my mind so many times, I have possibility to get Raffir Noble for 90 USD equivalent. Maple one looks stunning though and it is on my list of potential wedding accessory :thinking - great suggestion!

Re: Spyderco Groom carry suggestions

If I was fortunate enough to find a soulmate in this turbulent time I would only carry some of Spyderco's finest to that big day. My two suggestions right of the top of my head would be the Cruwear C-60 Ayoob or one of the more recent Para2 models. I don't think you could go wrong with either one o...

Spyderco Groom carry suggestions

Hi Folks, in less than a month I will marry love of my life, person I look forward getting old with and my best friend at the same time. Now important question is, what Spyderco to carry this day? There is going to be some charcuterie and cheese boards on the "garden party" and I am torn b...

Re: Manbug doesn‘t safely lock anymore

Well, if you bought it from respectable vendor, it should not be hard to talk to them and ask if they can send it for you to Spyderco Headquarters in Colorado for inspection OR you can send it yourself via post to the warranty service (would recommend first getting in touch with Spyderco Warranty). ...

Re: My first SLIPIT experience / Spyderco Urban

Very nice quick review! Urban is one of my most favorite models from Spyderco. It is usually accompanied by my Squeak. For people looking for bigger blade, UK Penknife is bigger brother of Urban.

Fantastic choice and love your Nontron!

Re: Social networks vs. forums - possible return of content to the forums?

My FB account has been deleted by META due to posting only knives and pipes, Instagram still intact but I use it to follow accounts related to EDC and smoking pipes again. Due to recent limitations, search engine will not show me more than 6 posts about any spyderco hashtags and it will not allow me...

Social networks vs. forums - possible return of content to the forums?

Dear forumites, Due to latest updates in Meta applications, there are heavy limitations applied by content moderators, with help of AI, on any knife\EDC related topics. I am thinking if this is a new era when most of us will, in the end, get back to our forums, where we originally started sharing ou...

UK Penknife - CQI for spinning pivot?

Dear all, quick question I can`t find answer to, does UKPK have the same spinning pivot CQI solution\prevention as Urban has? I am talking about this steel inlay inside the scales preventing main pivot from spinning. I am eyeing UKPK for quite some time, I have two urbans (K390, AEB-L) and both have...

Haha, I know that thread actually and I am a big supporter of your enthusiastic promotion of that idea! As you say, same knife, same blade thinness just longer... That would really be something I would instantly buy

Just felt like posting a pic of this great model - an old one, actually taken when I had my Chap for only a short time. Love this knife and would encourage everyone to try one. It´s something special imo. https://i.postimg.cc/W40cMK8v/Chap-wood.jpg Wow, love to see photo of Chap being used :clappin...

Re: Chaparral

I hope Chap will get better in terms of sales - one of the best small designs from Spyderco, kinda blend of Kopa and Walker C22 - extremely good slicer in small elegant body.

Just to be sure, I need to purchase few pieces in case it would get discontinued, I love my FRN model.

Re: New Discoveries found in 8Cr13MoV testing

I think 8Cr13Mov is, as mentioned, quite underrated. My first Spyderco was Tenacious, bought two months after it`s release. I remember i was not happy with edge holding but after years, out of nostalgia I purchased LW Tan version and I have to say something either had to change in the HT protocol or...

Re: Recommendations for a European traditionalist

Hi Bernhard, Welcome to the forum, I am from your neighboring country but I, quite regularly, travel to Vienna. I can recommend Lorenzi shop Siebensterngasse 41, 1070 Wien - I was able to purchase Manbug in K390 there on sale of 75 eur last year. If you would have possibility to travel to Brno City ...
