Without a doubt it's the nature of the people. Everyone round here knows everything about anything thats happening. I must have the most informed, nosiest neighbours on this planet, in fact theres a wee woman two doors up in her eighties that can't walk the length of herself yet somehow she can tell...

The only illegal one I have is a Benchmade model 42 balisong (butterfly knife). The fun of flipping it far outways the fact that it's illegal to own. In saying that I don't carry it, in fact I don't carry any knife at all except to work and even then it's a non locking SAK. The UK just plain sucks f...

This one night I was trying to pick a username for a forum or something, I can't exactly remember what. But anyways, every name I tried was taken by someone else. I sat thinking and happened to look down at my asthma inhaler which was on the desk. It was a Qvar 50 Aerosol so I thought, theres no way...

I have used them before and found them to be excellent and had no problems at all. Look out for Cutler34 (Ricki) on these forums as it was him I was dealing with and he kept me well informed of what was happening. Their prices as you say are good, the only thing being that I got hit by Customs and t...

Ah well, I figured that would be your answer but I was half hoping you knew a shop that had a half price sale and if you bought one knife you got two free. :p I certainly don't know any here either except of a couple of places on UK mainland but they cost a fortune. At least you got a couple when yo...

Hi again Rory,

Ok sorry I can't answer your question but I got to thinking after our last conversation that you'd be Irish?
If so, do you get your Spydies anywhere over here? Just curious?

It's pretty much been like that in the UK for as long as I can remember. One time coming from London to Belfast on a return trip from Brazil we had machetes etc.. in our checked luggage which was no problem. My friend however had a penknife and another girl had a bow and arrow set (I'm talking a pie...

Rory I don't really want to turn this into a political discussion on this forum, feel free to mail me. (I think this forum shows emails?) Please read the post properly. I said "terrorists everywhere" and never once did I mention the IRA. And what you describe as an "armed conflict&quo...

With the events that has happened we can all pray that good will prevail. Many of the people here in N.Ireland send their condolances to the people of America. I'm a British citizen and can only hope that governments crack down on terrorism in a way like never before. It is frustrating however to se...

I also got a sharpmaker a few weeks back and think it's great. I had been used with wiping my knives with my t-shirt until I started putting holes in them once they had been sharpened. I have also got it to put a great edge on a cheapy machete I brought back from Brazil. The only thing I have had tr...

Ok, this is a real newbie question but I have thought long and hard and still can't figure it out. What does IWB mean? As in when someone carries their knife IWB.

Well I guess you have to start somewhere. Last week I decided to get a Spydercard, which I am very happy with. I have just also recently ordered a Calypso Jr. Lt and also a 204 Sharpmaker. I'm looking forward to getting these. Hopefully there will be many more to follow.

Wow, thats considerably heavier than I imagined it to be, I didn't really realize it included a video. I'm glad you mentioned that BladeWalker for another reason as it's made me think that there wouldn't be much point in getting it from the US due to the difference in the video/television set ups.
