I've been trying to look for a pic of the front sight triangle blade, I swear I saw it once on an AK47 when I was searching through yahoo images. You did. But what you saw on the AK was the front sight support, which has a trianglar shape. Older versions of the M16 (A1, A2, A4) have the same shape ...

Blueing is nothing more than "pretty rust". Correct me if I'm wrong, but most if not all Spyderco knives have stainless steel blades.

Commonly available cold blue solutions will not work.

All you young whippersnappers with your new-fangled, lightweight, pocket sized lights..... You don't remember the dawn of flashlight time, when a man carried a 3 or 4 "D" cell Maglight that was at least foot long and weighed a couple pounds or more. This was much better than the wood torch...

PE Armorer's Endura

For all you Endura collectors, (like tonydahose) Lone Wolf Distributors has recently contracted for a number of plain edged bladed Armorer's Enduras. Previous models came only with a 50/50 edge. I use a standard Armorer's Endura as EDC, but have often wished for a PE version. Got my order in today. ...

Scrapyard knives Dumpster Mutt LE Not sure why, but I've had the urge to try one of these thick knives. Recieved in well used condition. Removed bluing, ground out edge damage, Sharpened to about 18 degrees with 20 degree microbevel. Very nice knife, but you are using it to make a Vegemite sandwich...

Really beautiful work, sir.

You gave that "simple soldier" a touch of elegance.....

One of my favorite Victorinox knives. I have carried the same one for 25 years now, and would not be without it.

Armorer's Endura - has a 3/32 inch folding pin punch in the handle. Comes in very handy, considering what I do.

Ike and the Endura

This is just a general "thank you" to the folks at Spyderco for making such fine knives. In the days following hurricane Ike I've given my Armorers Endura a real workout - everything from cutting meat and vegetables, (mass cookouts in the neighborhood after the power went off) opening cans...

Hi friends, Just got power back yesterday - 8 days after the storm. We (in Pasadena) did not get a whole lot of water damage or flooding - we did however get a great deal of wind damage. Trees down, roofs blown off, fences blown down. The church next door to us had its steeple blown off. My wife and...
