Mine is a green PE, and it is one terrific folder. It cuts better than knives I have that cost multiples more and is a delight to carry.

I have 2 Talonite blades and while I am pleased with them, I seriously question the bottom line "cost effectivenes" of the material. I think in most cases, a high-end stainless will do the job at far less cost. I can see that if ultimately it's cost comes down, some truly awesome fishing k...

I picked one up at this past weekend's ECCKS in NY. This is a very sweet knife. Spyderco should be congratulated on this one.

It handles beautifully and is very well-constructed. I'm delighted and am already in the hunt for another one.

Thanks for the review, Alan. That knife has "caught my eye" for a while now. Your comments may have pushed me over the edge. I need one. Good luck with it.

Yes, we must all be much more vigilant in the future and watch out for ourselves and those around us.

Good to hear that the SS police may be around for a while at least. I am in the market for a PE Police SS.

Since the Police is , for me, primarily an IWB carry, the smooth SS is a pleasure to carry. I sure hope to see it in the "line-up" for the foreseeable future.

I wonder whether the SS Police models will be continued when the new catalog comes out. There seemed to be a large number of "negative" votes against it in the recent poll.

I have 2 Militarys, one plain, one serrated and a Starmate and Native, all in 440V. I've had no rust probs whatsoever.

I'll qualify that by saying that I am very careful with my knives, treating them to regular encounters with the Tuf-cloth.

I think some people buy these larger "lots" and go to flea markets and such and try to make a few bucks selling this garbage.

IMHO, the 204 is the best sharpening system for the money out there. You can sharpen virtually anything with it. I think it's the easiest system to use to achieve consistent results.

I think you'll find that most will agree with the above opinions.

Yes. The Civilian is IMHO hands down the best for untrained self defense. Using a "regular" knife for self defense requires martial arts type training. Most folks will not get the extensive training and practice required to be proficient. With the Civie, it doesn't take much imagination to...
